My trial version of symantec antivirus software will expire soon. I do not want spend lots of money to buy it, neither buy another new antivirus software.
I have noted that there are many free antivirus software available on website like cnet. But not sure how releibale are those free stuff. No doubt free stuffs will not be comparable with that of those have price tags on it. But is ther any proven software that gives good relaible protection for virusses?

I have found two which I like. They are AVG and Avast. I like them both but I would prefer the latter. Check them out here. @ ronaldinu 2008

Ok here I want to suggest you for a good antivirus and you can easily protect your PC without pay any money and get abest protection.I have download Kasperky antivirus and it very good to protect your PC if you update it regularly. What I'm doing I don't pay any money because I keep download it from their website and activate trial for 30 days. After that antivirus has expired I keep doing the same but with Kasperky Antivirus in another version.I have doing it for a year and don't pay anything just get a new antivirus with new version and you still get the best protection.I try a lot of it and I found Kasperky and Bitdefender is some of the top Antivirus software compare to other antivirus.

Use Avg 8 Free Edition and you can download it www.download.com. It would be great if you match AVG 8 Free Edition with Adware 2008. Just a reminders a free edition it it is not like the same with AVG 8 Internet Security. It do not have the same features only the basic one but it really works fine and most common virus it the can be deleted. It also include spyware in folder System32 under windows filder.

I like AVG the best. I've never had any trouble with it and it seems to keep my computer safe. It can be set on automatic update, or for dialup users you can choose when to update it (should be often).
