fish aquarium

Dear Mohammed Anwar, Congratulations that you have decided to keep an aquarium. I am also from India and an very old enthusiast of aquarium. there are several factors to be considred before installing aquarium.Like size of the aquarium, availability of space .Availability of natural light in the room and the temperature of the room etc. having decided all these factors now since you are a beginner , I would advise to go in for cheaper variety of fish initially. Once you get hang of them and get some experience you can go in for bit expensive ones! Generally you should have all the three type of fish in your aquarium.They are bottom feedres, surface feeder and the ones which feed in the middle of the water. this maintains the balance of the aquarium. The fish fod put in the aquariumhas a tendency to float on the surface and part of it is sunken to the bottom.So the surface ffedrs can have food from the urface and the bottom feeders are there to have food from bottom and the middle eaters will grab the feed in the middle itself. So initially you can have Combination of Sword tails, Black Mollies. Tetras, Guppies, Tiger fish, Dog Gouramies, Neon Tetra and Gold Fish to balance your tank. don't keep more than a pair initially. having attained success with these you can go in for other varieties. have two to three types of feed and stick to timings and don't don't over feed your fish as thy are very small eaters and extra feed added to the water will spoil the tank early. Don't change the water daily. It can be topped up as and when required. Once in a 15 days a change is enough. take all precautions before introducing any new fish or new plants into your Aquarium like quaretining them ! red blue neon, very nice, but cant buy a lot once. It is quite tiny, but beautiful. If your aquarium plants some grass, then it will look very nice. Someone told me that you cant buy a lot once, need to buy few and add few more in the next time. I don't know the reason, but it will die if you put a lot in one aquarium once. Having this small tiny fish is also good because small or big aquarium can fit them well..... Ofcourse, if your aquarium is very big, buy more..... Personally, I love small fish, and if you prefer big one, you can have arowana, but it is quite expensive.
