hey guys I have a new idea for a skill it's called Trimming
It's when you take armors and put trimmings on it.
level 1-you can make regular trimmings that gives you 12 xp each
level 15-you can make gold trimmings that give you 30 xp each
level 50-your first milestone you can apply regular trimmings to black full 100xp each piece you apply
level 60-you can apply gold trimmings to black armors 150xp for each piece you apply
level 70-you can apply regular trimmings to adamant armor 175xp for each piece you apply
level 80-you can apply gold trimmings to adamant armor 200xp for each piece you apply
level 90-you can apply regular trimmings to rune amor 225 xp for each piece you apply
level 95-you can finally apply gold trimmings to rune armor 250 for each piece you apply
level 96-you can make guthix trimming for 250 xp each
level 97-you make zamy trimming for 260 xp each
level 98-you make saradomin trimming for 270xp each
level 99-you can apply guthix, zamy, and saradomin trimmings to rune armor
Skillcape:the emote will be you pulling out a platebody and wrapping the armor in gold trimmings and lifting it up
what do you guys think about the skill?????

I have to completely agree that being able to trim armor would devalue the price of the trimmed armors already in the game. For those doing treasure trails, it's already bad enough without there being an even easier way to get these items.
Besides, this would only give some validity to the people who try to scam by claiming they can trim armor. I know it's not as easy to do anymore with the trade restrictions, but I still see it done for lesser armors like steel and such. The loss of small items like this may not seem like much of a loss, but for a new player, it can be the loss of something they worked hard for.

It would totally devalue the treasure trail armors that already look like those. Hard as those items are to get from the treasure trails turning them into something cheap would be depressing. If you wanted to do something interesting with armor make a skill like ENHANCEMENT in which you add facets to the armor that can hold enchanted gems. Then you could trick your armor out stat wise according to what your fighting.

I think there was something about sailing coming. Well... trimmed items come from treasure trails already, 7 with this, there'd be a surplus of trimmed items. Thus, their value will go down incredibly... Sorry. i wouldn't go well with the rs economy in general, cute idea though. I mean, it could help with smithing and such, but after that, there will be so many trimmed items they'll probably have to be alched or something.

Guys already told you that prices of trimmed armours which are somewhat rare now would drop,so I won't tell you that again (I already did)
There is something like "trimming" in construction skill
You can paint your rune helm and kiteshield.
I am looking forward to your new ideas.

I don't think that's a usefull skill...trimmed armour is a reward from clue scrolls, and it has to be a reward from clue scrolls only...otherwise it won't be special anymore....
It's not godo to introduce trimming by players into the game, and also not good for a skill.
A good skill, in my opinion, would be: Sailing....I love it, and there doesn't exist any skill like that.
Trimmed skills is more a part of Crafting or Smithing....

Gbeast, I think all in all, if you couldn't already get these from the three treasure trail levels, it would be a good idea.
But, it would devaluate the trimmed armours, thus throwing the economy out of whack; once again.
Good idea, just not totally thought through.
