Restaurant recipes - can you make them at home? Is it possible to make restaurant recipes at home, or do you have to be a talented chef? I ever do it but it taste not similar

My husband has a knack for getting a recipe just by tasting the food. When we eat out, he is always vigilant about what we eat. when he likes it, he makes it at home and asks us to act as his testers. LOL! Most of the time he DOEs get it. Amazing!

Well, at Uno's, they have this chocolate chip cookie, a big one, which they top with ice cream and whipped cream and chocolate, and whenever we go there, it is our tradition to get one, but we made one at home and it was exactly the same, but it wasn't really as fun because we were not in the restaurant. It was cheaper though, I would imagine!
