People at this time seems interested listening to jazz, pop, rnb, and hip hop music. I really don't know why. They say these songs are popular and they love to listen to these songs because they just love and idolize the artists behind these songs, like hip hop musicians Sean Kingston and Rihanna. I have been a music lover ever since I was five years old, and I've been already listening to the songs of Eraserheads, 4 non blondes, Michael Learns To Rock, and Madonna. And I still love their songs.
There are some people especially, those emotionally disturbed youth love to listen to rock music. But, there are religious persons who just love to listen to praise and worship songs. I also love praise and worship songs not only because I was once a church band member, but also I believe that we have to lay our voices unto the Lord. Singers exactly love music, because it is their field of interests, but, there are music lovers who don't have an interest in singing, and there are music lovers and singers who don't have an interest or don't know how to play musical instruments like keyboards, guitar, or drums. I was then before a choir member and a glee club member during my high school years. But I also love and know how to play keyboards. I remember before, on my seventh birthday, way back in 1996, my aunt Apple gave me a toy piano as a gift. That was the time I started to appreciate the beauty of music. But, then, I don't know how to sing. In short, I don't have a voice before.
I started to sing when I was in high school, during my glee club days. And until now in college days, I am a member of theater club - singing and acting field. Well, when I was in first year high school, I was a member of Teatro Tanglaw club where my advisers taught me some tips in acting. But, this is an assurance: Not all music lovers have a talent in singing and love or know how to play musical instruments. But, there are some music lovers, like me, who loves listening to music, have a talent in singing, and know how to play musical instruments. When I was in third year high school, I enrolled myself in Yamaha School of Music, where I learned some principles of music, like playing basic notes from do-re-mi to basic chords like A-G majors and minors. I have a classmate who loves listening to jazz, and hip hop music, but is a frustrated singer. I also have a classmate who is a band vocalist and loves to play piano and guitar.
Anyone can be a music lover. It is better for parents to expose their children to music while they are young so that they will appreciate the beauty of music during their early years.

Something that has always confounded me is the people who only like to listen to rap and (pop)country. How is that a logical combination? And I know a lot of people like that. They have their car radios programmed with all the local country stations and all the local hip hop stations with nothing in between. Their CD collection has Jay-Z next to Rascall Flatts. This doesn't make any sense to me.
