Hello friends! I am just keen to know that how often you buy the things online? Is it mostly from the ebay? Are you satisfied with the stuff? Actually I once bought a string of pearls online, but was not quite satisfied when I saw it physically. After that I have not tried at all, specially the expensive items as i doubt if they are of the same quality as shown in the picture, though I know there are many people who prefer buying things online. What about you? Do you buy mostly on ebay?

I shop online all the time. First of all I am disabled and that can make shopping difficult at times. There are some store that are not in the area that I live in, so I buy from there sites. I also like eBay and do shop there frequently. There are some eBay stores that have great prices for designer clothes which I can buy at Walmart prices. Another reason I shop online is because my daughter is usually with me when I am shopping and it is hard to buy for her if I want it to be a surprise. So I shop while she is sleeping. One more reason I shop online is because I buy gifts for people who live far away. I have them ship the item directly to the receiver instead of to me. I avoid paying double shipping and many sites will send a gift receipt instead of a receipt showing prices. Shopping online also cuts down on impulse buying. If you are looking for a pair of sneakers, for example, you search the site just for that item. You don't see 3 other pairs you want also.
If you do shop online, don't forget to search for online coupons for the store where you are shopping. You can save on prices and even get free shipping. Once I bought some items on sale and found a discount coupon if I used a specific credit card. I saved big that day!
I plan on doing most of my Christmas shopping online again this year.

I am sorry to know rock that you are disabled, but never mind, if God has closed one door, He opens many other avenues, so count your Blessings(which I hope you do). Yes for you online shopping is the best way for various reasons you mentioned. Thankfully, technology has given us this option which otherwise would have been difficult. I hope and wish you recover soon from your disability. Good Luck!

Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately it is something I can never recover from and will live with pain for the rest of my life. I have permanent nerve and spinal cord damage and have gone through 7 surgeries. But as you said, when God closes one door He opens another. I am able to be a stay-at-home mom to my daughter, which is something that many mothers would like to do but can't. I can go to school functions during the day and am even able to volunteer at her school on Friday afternoons. The teacher found a nice sit down job for me. I have good friends that help me out whenever I need it, so they are a blessing as well. My daughter is beautiful, happy and healthy, so I have many things to be thankful for! Many thanks!

Surely for purchase of electronic items , one has to be extra careful, because if its not upto the mark then it becomes difficult to exchange.

There is lot plus and minus in online purchasing as you mentioned. The product appears totally different as we saw in the picture. If i get any online earnings,i like to purchase some items through ebay..Last week i purchased two watches online through ebay with my paypal account. The product was ok and i am satisfied with the product.

Thats great to know that you were satisfied with watches you purchased online. Sometimes it can be tricky. Though all the facilities are given during the time of purchase, that one can return if not satisfied, but that becomes a long procedure.

I buy alot online- I did use ebay quite a bit- that was mostly videos and cd's and some gems and tshirts.- OH and My CAR!
(I am very happy with that) but I also but alot from other websites- like for my favorite bands. (tshirts and stuff) And I have bought some bedding and electronics too. for the most part I am happy with it. I did get a wrong DVR once and I returned it for something different. that was pretty easy- but it cost me a little.. I try to go thru my BigCrumbs site before I make my online purchases too- because that way I get cash back. The next month they put money pack in my paypal acct. so it;s like a bonus for the ext time I shop. lol :)

I've started to purchase things online, though I still prefer to walk in a store and purchase things! Only because of high gas prices and transportation issues is why I purchase some things online!

I've shopped many times online, may sister says I'm naive since I'm prone to being scammed. I once bought an ipod online, thinking i would use it on our travel abroad, and i've waited for it like 2 weeks, that's the only time I realized that i was scammed.. such a frustrating experience.. But i'm still an ebay addict :)

The only time I ever shop online bsolutley have to have and am unable to find it elsewhere. I do like that I can find just about anything I want online and it is usualy cheaper but I do like shopping and getting out of the house. I find it boring sitting at home in front of my computer shopping.

I have shop on ebay as well as sell on ebay and while a pic don't really show much I try to be as descriptive as possible when selling and I also look for items that have a good description when buying stuff online. That's the only way I am sure I get what I have paid for

I probably order something online quarterly. I've never purchased anything on ebay but I threaten to go "shopping" there all the time. I've been satisfied with my online orders. The last month or 2 before Christmas, I order quite a few online items and have always been satisfied with them.

I buy lots of stuff online, my most recent buys are two personalised photo calenders and some books and clothes off ebay. The calendars are without doubt the best spend ever I am totally blown away with the quality of them and as they are pressies for christmas I know that the people getting them are going to love them.
The books I had off ebay were also excellent, and the clothes for my daughter are also perfect and everything is always as described. I mean I have had some rubbish but not much it is just a case of finding the genuine sellers.

I don't buy things online that often unless I know the store like Barnes and Noble. I don't really trust online stores all that much. I am generally satisfied with my book purchases because well Barnes and Noble offer only the best quality stuff. I have also bought movies and music from their site. I never bought from Ebay I don't really trust it.

I shop online all the time as it's easy to use and it's less hassle for me. I don't really like trudging round stores with people barging past me and then having to queue. Also online I think it's easier to see offers and find bargains. You can use price comparison sites to find the best deal in seconds whereas if you were buying 'in person' you'd have to spend time walking round stores and finding the product, only to find out it was cheapest at the first shop you looked so you have to walk all the way back! It's also great for not having to carry your bags around with you and you can do it any time of day.
I really like being able to read reviews of the products too to see what people think. Maybe there is a similar product that seems to be better value or quality that I didn't know about?
I use Amazon for most purchases and my second site would be Ebay. Times are tight with the credit crunch and if I can find what I need on Ebay then I have no qualms in buying it there. I buy my trainers/sneakers on there (as long as they are brand new) and have got them up to half price what I shoudl have paid in a store.
The one thing I'm not keen about buying online are clothes as sizes vary from brand to brand so it's best to try them on. It also might not look right when you get it! A lot of sites do offer quick and easy returns though.
One thing you could do is search the net for the best deals or certain products and then head directly to that store.
I suppose it all comes down to how much you enjoy your shopping experiences.

If I buy things on-line it is always from ebay so I can see their feedback.
I just incorporate that the item could be broken or not what I expected. But Ihave no problem with that because the prices can be so much cheaper

Reading feedback is great but it's pot luck whether you're item arrives. Lost in the post and the seller takes no responsibility, especially if the postage isn't insured. Always a down side... :-(

I don't buy often online. But when I do. I usaully research a company or website first. that way I can find out if there is any negative feedback about either one. I don't buy from ebay much. As I don't win most of the auctions I bid on. To time consuming. i just wish to purchase thinsg and move on. I have better thingsto do than wonder if i got a bid or not 3 days later.

I buy a lot of stuff off of amazon.com mainly because I get a lot of e-certificates to amazon but so far everything that I have bought from them I have been satisified with. Although I did have a few bad experiences with a couple of their sellers but I make note of the sellers that I won't buy from ever again on their website.

There are a few websites that I buy from, and most of them I'm satisfied with. I do most of my buying from ebay tho, and I think there were a few times when I wasn't satisfied with what I bought, sometimes they don't look the same in person as the picture does. I think I've only sent something back once to get an exchange. I still buy from the tho...most of the sellers on there are good.
