Do friends last?

I hope many of you like this topic.
Yes Do friends last lifelong?
Many of us have best friends right from childhood days.
Am I right? Yes. What a best friend means to you?
Yes they are some with who you tend to share
everything. Whether good or bad!
Whether you can tell your parents or not.
You might be smoking or drinking. You will not
tell your parents but you will tell your
best friend.
But do these friends last forever?

My mom had a close friend who she had known since childhood. The were "best friends" for over 50 years. I think we can stay friends with people, but the style of the friendship may change. Sometimes a friendship changes due to circumstances, or life. We may just develop different interests, one may marry and have kids, while the other does not.
I think shared interests are still what keeps the longest of friendships together. I recently got together with a friend I had not seen in years. Though we had a nice chat, and promised to stay in touch, it probably won't happen. We have exchanged a few emails, but that was about it.

Good thought.. Let me ask you one thing.
Today if I have 10 best friends, how many will remain after 50 years?
All 10? maybe or maybe not.

I think it depends whether you treasure friendship or not. Whether you take care of your friends or not. A best friend means that you feel comfortable with and even if you fall apart you will make up for it. A best friend is always there for you. © ronaldinu 2008

I think it is like any other relationship, it depends how committed that both are to it! I have thought I had a "true" friend only to find them run the other way when an illness came to our family. It made me look at "friends" different. I have some true friends since then that I believe will be there thick and thin, but it has to be two sided!!!

I think my friends will last a lifetime. I have found who are my real friends when I went through a tragic experience. There are people in my life who are meaningful and I know ill always be there for me.

friendship last forever if you will just remain being friends with them. friends are for keeps! friends are the ones whom you can lean on in times when you need them.

Honestly I believe that friendship can last forever. Friends always been at our side when we having problem and never complain. They also never get bored when we talking about our difficulty. They always encourage us to be a better person in the future. Best friend always think for us first. So, I believe that friend can last. Sometime friend can be more loyal than lover. Agree?
