Another Example of Obama's Idea of "Freedom of the Press"

Once again, Obama proves that he has no respect for anyone but his pathetic little self. The reporters covering the Obama campaign have complained about their treatment by Obama and his staff. Their part of the campaign jet is not maintained, or cleaned. Obama regularly makes demands on them that go far beyond what is normally expected. Now he has kicked 3 reporters off the campaign completely. Why? Because the papers they work for have endorsed McCain. There is nothing ethical about Obama. There is no reason to vote for him at all.

He doesn't talk to those who have asked inconvenient questions. The outlets get letters notifying them that Obama won't deal with them anymore and the actionwire goes to work flooding the outlets with phone calls and emails protesting the oh so unfair treatment of their beloved candidate. Lately though the supporters have grown tired of all the 'calls to action', lol.

I was hearing that on the early news today. It is really stupid and he could use some change or if he gets to office his interviews are going to be what? rehearsed?

"There is nothing ethical about Obama." It's not Obama's ticket that contains a person who's ACTUALLY been found to have violated ethics statutes, buddy. Meanwhile, McCain's doing his best 1984 impression by kicking people out of rallies based on how they look, bigotry in its purest form. Why aren't you making a big deal about that, if you claim freedom is important to you?

Have you ever ask the question why there are no protesters at the Obama events??? May because they don't let the inconvenient people in?

Are you aware that a quiet librarian wasn't allowed to go to an open-to-the-public McCain town hall just because she had a sign that said "McCain = Bush"? http://vodpod.com/watch/861428-librarian-kicked-out-of-mccain-town-hall-open-to-public If you're trying to make a statement about Obama, you're not doing a very good job. Your accusation describes McCain better.

McCain had plenty of interruptions. I have not seen one at the Obama rallies. So don't give me that crap. Of course Joe the Plumber asked the ultimate inconvenient question and Obama tripped up, made a feaux-pas, revealed his true plan... and off we go, have Joe researched, let's see how much dirt we can dig up to discredit the guy.. how does that behavior change the question and answer?... Oh, right, diversion... It's interesting. As soon as Obama gets accused of doing something his actionwire turns around and spreads the "no, it's McCain who is doing it" message "our Obama is an angel, don't you know?" LOL. I sure I hope there is something in it for you to work so hard for his campaign;)

Now I hear that it was simply a case of limited room and high demand, and that they let FOX News stay, among other sources critical of the campaign. If they wanted to get rid of any media for being pro-McCain, wouldn't FOX be at the TOP of their list? It boils down to just another smear. Pathetic.

Fox suggested that Obama's fist bump with his wife was a "terrorist fist jab." Okay? So don't try and tell me critical voices are being silenced. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 'major over minor', and that's perfectly reasonable when you run out of room. Once more, something is being made out of nothing.

Sure, keep on believing that. No room for the others. At all events? If he would shut out Fox there would have been major questions from the get go. Shutting out minor outlets. News about that isn't spreading that quickly. The actionwire is much faster to squash the waves this might make. Wonder what punishment ABC got for asking too much to air his lame infomercial. Even the Today show hosts, who are among his greatest supporters found it sappy and over the top, lol. $4 million wasted. Should have started to spread the wealth with that stuff right away. Or how about spreading his own millions.. oh wait, spreading the wealth is just for other people, right?

They let the major outlets stay. You do know that small news outlets who asked critical questions were told by Obama's lawyers that he won't deal with them anymore and the action wire went to work with harassing calls to the stations? No?

Their seats were given to reporters from black newspapers.

The press on Obama's plan were separated from the rest of the passengers and kept in a separate area (an area which evidently never got cleaned)!

what is the big deal? Should he not give the black press, magazine or otherwise, access? All of the candidates have appeared in entertainment magazines and TV shows all throughout the election. Maybe he did this in response to the protests that have been happening. Maybe he felt that they weren't getting the whole story. Besides at rallies where Palin is speaking the press isn't even allowed to mingle with the crowd, they are sequestered in the press section by secret service per the campaign's request. So our tax dollars are funding the prevention of the press getting the whole story, great.

Funny, I didn't hear any outrage when McCain's campaign threw Maureen Dowd and Joe Klein off his campaign plane a month or so back. Or note anyone mentioning that one of the three newspapers that were dropped off the Obama plane were also dropped off the McCain plane for weeks - and just got their seat back for the last week of the campaign.

I think you showed your outrage over it quite well here.

Maureen Dowd and Joe Klein are both columnists, not reporters. Bad on both of them for kicking the papers off. Still, Obama did replace his with ones to favor himself. Jet and Essense aren't news magazines. Might have understood it if it had been Newsweek, but not these.

Frankly, I've never understood why newspaper and magazine reporters expect candidates and their parties to foot the bill for their travel expenses. I understand why the campaigns do it - it's a way to ensure coverage. The columnists were perfectly welcome on the campaign plane as long as they weren't criticizing Sarah Palin. Both were told there was no room for them after writing negative columns about Palin. I don't have an issue with the campaign saying 'yeah, we're not footing the bill for you to travel with us any more'. There's even a report of a chairman for the Florida Republican party having to charter his own plane after being told there was no room for him on the campaign plane - after he said something mildly critical of Sarah Palin. It's common practice for both parties, but it's only big news when the Obama campaign does it.

That is what I have been writing, that Obama's adulation and the media behind him is compared to Hitler. Forget for a moment that Hitler was Austrian (he was also part Jewish, and hated that side of himself just like Obama hates his white side.) Remember that they have both the same personality and if Obama gets to power, Americans will lose more of their freedoms. Americans beware.
