I would say John Grisham. He writes so well that when I am reading his book it is as if I am in the story journeying with the characters. John Grisham does well with thriller stories and keeps one turning the pages. If I am going to rate him, he would be on top of the list of writers. John Grisham is a writer who gives readers a good read of his books.

Man, It has to be Terry Pratchett for me. I've never laughed so hard from a book before. The discworld series has got to be the best satirical books out there and also made me appreciate british comedy.

Hi Buddy, This is a simple question for an individual to talk about but it is difficult to debate on who is the best.
As far as i am concerned i like to read a lot of books and i do read a lot of books and sometimes even leaving my academic books, depends on the book anyway.
i like reading Sidney Sheldon books as they are complete just like a holly wood movie. Apart from that i like reading Dan Brown books and JK rowling comes next and Even Chetan Bhagat is also good.
This is my opinion. Hope you liked it and please rate me well.
Thank You and Happy Mylotting.

I love Dan Brown, his style is awesome. The Da Vinci code even had my hubby reading and I think he has only read a few books in his entire life!!! He is now reading Angels and Demons. I think I got him hooked on this author...
I also like the works of V.C Andrews and Jackie Collins, I have always loved both of these authors as well. it all depends on what kind of mood I am in as to what type of book I want to read. These are just a few of my faves.

There are a few writers, whom I really enjoy. Though I think I would have to say that my favorite writer is Agatha Christie. She writes such amazing murder mysteries. I can sit for hours just reading some of her work. She is just brilliant. It isn't difficult for me to understand how she got her title of 'Queen of Crime.'

Hands down, L. Ron Hubbard! When I say those words people look at me like I'm crazy and say "He's the guy that started the church of Scientology isn't he?" Well I had to go do some digging and researching and found out that yes, he is.
He is also the most prolific science fiction writer I've ever read, and I've never picked up one of his books that didn't keep me riveted to my chair. All his books are pure satire, and when you're not chewing your fingernails in suspense you'll be rolling in the floor laughing. The world will certainly miss him.

Oh, sorry I don't know him because I don't go for Sci-Fi books and movies. Maybe next time I try Science fiction stories. Many people love it.

I love John Grisham too, in fact i buy his books whenever i can. But Sidney Sheldon is on top of my list though, he has passed away, good thing i have a number of his books. There are a few more writers that i love, like Ludlum, Roberts, Fern Michaels, Robins, Patterson, Thomas Harris and of course Dan Brown. I love reading too, though, i don't have much time to do so, i do read whenever i can.
