How many dogs

I currently have 5 dogs and one cat. The most at one time was 7 dogs and 6 cats- none were from a litter that was born here- all were just critters I took in. The only time a litter has ever been born here was about 25 years ago- when our "male" cat turned out to be pregnant...oops lol I was just a kid and told mom that something was wrong with clyde and she didn't believe me- I kept insisting that she needed to look at "him", and she went and looked, and clyde had a litter of kittens. Clyde was renamed "Missy" that evening.

i own 4 dogs now. and over a dozen cats. at one time I had 27 cats.. that was a while ago. a bot a year and a half ago I had 5 dogs 9 puppies and about 10 cats or so. but there also was 3 more dogs and 2 more cats in the house that belonged to my roommates. lol we like animals better than people here!

i don't own any dogs...right now i own 2 cats. at one time, we had 1 chinchilla, 1 guinea pig, 5 fish, 1 dog, and 2 cats. so altogether, the most we had at any time was 10.

I owned dogs at one time but my husbands' family had owned 16 dogs at one time when my husband once small!

i just have 1..and i love it a lot..i dont have to much space to have lots of animals :(

we got only one dog at home. I always have fun playing with my dog.

I have 2 dogs and one cat. The most I ever owned at one time was 13 cats. At the time I had no dogs. Now I have two dogs and one cat hmmmm wonder if that has any meaning! LOL Just kidding I gave all the cats away! Have a great day!

You've had 12 animals at one time?!?! ...although I do know someone who has 9 cats right now LOL currently I have 3 animals right now, 2 dogs (Jack Russell and an American Eskimo Spitz) and 1 cat. This is pretty much the most pets I've ever had at one time and its a good number for me so I'm sticking to it LOL

I've already had 25 dogs! 5 grown up and 20 puppies. These little thingies running all around are such a marvelous joy to see... I have 4 right now.

I have owned many many pets over time. There was one time that I had about 14 puppies and a couple of dogs. You see we had met a guy that owned a junk yard and he had dogs. He refused to have them fixed so they kept having puppies. Then he would take the puppies out and shoot them. SO one day my husband took a puppy that was about 6 months old and brought him home. Well he was terrified of my husband. He had a graze mark on his head, so the guy took him out to shoot him and missed. The next night my husband went back and took the rest of the puppies without the guy knowing. Then we called the SPCA. He brought them home and we raised them until we could find homes for them.

I currently own three dogs. A Shih Tzu named Simba, a Beagle/Corgie mix named Pumpkin, and a mini Schnauzer named Sparky. I love them all, but I certainly wouldn't want anymore. I think that the number of animals that one can have at the same time depends on the individual who would own them. I think that it can be accessive though, look at all the horrible stories we here about people with 100 cats/dogs in their house.
