America what's your plan for Tuesday?

I'm definitely going to vote. I've never missed an election in my life and don't plan to start now with so much at stake. In addition to the presidency, which of course is the biggest deal, my town has a library budgeting issue up for vote. And also, some crazy person wants to eliminate the state income tax, which would kill Massachusetts. I'm also going to make a speech on Tuesday for the Stonewall Center, our area's local GLBT center, to a multicultural education class. Trust me, I'm going to encourage them to vote if they haven't. My 2 seconds for democracy.

Keep up the good work! Regardless of who or what you support, that kind of participation is what makes democracy work.

I'll be voting in Massachusetts on Tuesday as well. Since I live in a poor neighborhood and our local polling place is not on the bus line, I've already decided that I'll be calling the local cab company and requesting one of their minivans so that I can take up to five neighbors with me. I'll be voting for keeping income tax, as well as for our state senator and for local reps - and not a straight Dem ticket. The rest of my day will be scheduled around how long it takes to vote - but I'll probably be back here to get some writing done, and make a pot luck lunch for my son's history class.

Hi to a fellow Massachusetts resident. I'm voting no on question 1, as well. I'm also supporting question 3. I think dog racing is cruel! Even though I can theoretically walk to the polls (I don't for spring elections), but it's too cold to walk there in November. I'm not even going to sign hold, which I usually do if I care about issues, as I do this election.

Agreed, cripfemme. I'll also be voting yes on 2 because it makes logical sense. And thank you, MSV. In fact, I know that at least some of the people I've invited to share my ride will be voting opposite me. We've talked quite a bit about our choices and who we support and why. At first, they used to roll their eyes and put up with the old lady. Lately, they come by to watch the campaign speeches with me. I feel like I've done my bit for democracy by making them pay attention.

I turned 18 last year, so I'll be voting for the first time. Good luck with the speech.

Already voted. I'll probably call my oldest daughter and bug her about voting. Not really, she's excited to vote. Maybe I'll just call her and tell her to try a bit harder on that new grandbaby I asked for.

I'm voting - this will be first time in a different state than what I have voted before.

Probably nothing. I voted Thursday. I would have had a heart attack if I had to be around that many people.
