Rankings do not go up if...

I have posted atleast 8 discussions and neither ime has my ranking went up beside my name. Keep in mind everytime I post it does go up unless I am posting under the same discussion. Is this how it is suppose to be or am I missing being credited for my participation?
I would like to know because it takes too long to build up your earnings so therefore, I would like to receive every penny.

Your post count only goes up by 1 in each Discussion you post in, no matter how many times you post in that Discussion. There have been Discussions when I end up posting 5 times in the same one, but, my Post Count only goes up by 1. Otherwise, people would just post hundreds of times in one discussion instead of being active all over the board in many different topics of interest. :)
