Neowide has changed! What do you think? No more upfront payments!

I haven't been writing for Neowide for that long, I actually have five articles with them. There's a real problem though! I noticed this evening when I had logged into my account that they were no longer going to pay upfront payments! They mentioned that you would be paid by Adsense instead. I had accumulated $9 for my five articles and then suddenly I noticed that this figure had disappeared so I have lost this money! I don't favour this so much now! They said that this was a decision that they had to make. I did favour Neowide above the rest as they were offering upfront payments. As I'm not a US citizen I don't get upfront payments from the likes of Associated Content. So, I guess I lose out completely. What do you think about this change? Do you write for Neowide yourself? I would be interested in your thoughts. Andrew

Hi, I've only recently started with Neowide; but only managed to submit 2 articles, so it's not so bad for me. But it's a bit disappointing! Anyway, I think it's safer to stick with the more established writing sites like Helium or AC. Though there's no upfront payments, the articles still accumulate earnings through the page views. And you can try submitting articles when they call for requests for their Marketplace or whatever (I'm not too sure about this).

You came in at a good time then I guess! You haven't suffered too much damage in terms of money! I have only submitted one piece of fiction on Associated Content and I am receiving pennies for my efforts! Well, I will try and submit more work for with them. I hope that Neowide notice the dissatisfaction of their users and take an about turn! I will then return to them in the blink of an eye! Andrew

As regards Helium, I don't know if you are aware but they mentioned that they are now going to start offering upfront payments for your writings! You have to a achieve a rating star first but this shouldn't be a problem. This makes Helium one of the top choices when submitting articles. Thank you Helium. Andrew

I'm not a part of Neowide--but I defeniatly think you should contact the site management and tell them they owe you 9 bucks! You earned it from them, and they need to pay it! They changed the rules, but they still need to pay people their dues.

Hi, yes, I have sent them an email so I'm going to wait and see how they respond! Hopefully they will agree! I'm going to do some more searching though for other writing sites and I hope that I can find something better out there. Thanks for your thoughts. Andrew

my situation is worse. i have written around 70+ articles and have reached way more than the minimum amount. and now i will not receive any payment at all. it is really disappointing. how i wish i can remove all the articles ive written and publish it to other sites--those that will pay upfront. and like you, i cannot get upfront payment from AC because im not a US citizen. if you stumble into a site like neowide (you know, the neowide before this major change took effect). please inform me. thanks

I'm sorry to hear about your own position in relation to Neowide! If I find any better options out there then yes, I will definitely keep my fellow writers here informed. Thanks for your thoughts. Andrew

I don't know anything about Neowide. I have written however for quite awhile for Associatedcontent and they pay quite well (at least I've had good luck with them). They also pay via paypal and though they don't review articles as quickly as they did in previous months, they still end up making an offer for the article within 7-10 days. If you have a screenshot or email from Neowide you could send them a note and ask for your payment. I honestly don't think they can deny you monies you already made but then again, I don't know how "above board" they are as a company. Keep us posted on what happens and good luck!

You are lucky in that you get paid quite well with Associated Content. I wish I could be entitled to this also but I'm not a US Citizen so this doesn't apply to me, perhaps I should move over to the States!! As regards payment from Neowide, I think that this is a lost cause now. I did send them an email voicing my discontentment at their new procedure. I hope that someone gets back to me. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts and good luck with your writing. Andrew

Hi I started with Neowide at the beginning of October. I wrote 27 articles and was expecting to receive a payment. I truly understand how you feel losing money with his site. My family really needed that $50.00 but life has to go on. I found out yesterday that you can request your articles to be removed from Neowide. I sent them an email yesterday, unfortunately that don't work on the weekends, so I expect to hear from them today that my articles have been removed and my account closed. I will be placing these articles on other site like Helium.

Hi, good luck to you. I too requested that Neowide remove my articles and they agreed and I have also closed my account. I now concentrate more of my efforts at Helium, I am really pleased with them as a writing site. Congratulations on joining My Lot by the way! I hope that you will be very happy here and that you make lots of new friends, myself included. Good luck. Andrew
