The Lord Of The Ring Discussion.....

in my opinion, lord of the rings is the best ever novel to movie translation. the director did a splendid job in creating the lord of the rings world, it was even better than what i used to imagine!

I have been a big fan of LOTR for a very long time. I have read the books so many times that I have actually lost count! When I found out they were doing a movie, I was excited but also apprehensive. I was very worried that the movies would completely disapoint me. I was extremely thrilled to be proven wrong. I think the movies stayed very true to the books. Of course, some parts are missing and some have been altered. It is to be expected when adapting a story of that magnitude for the silver screen. But I think that overall, the movies stayed very true to the books. As far as favorite characters, I would have to say that my favorites are Aragorn and Gandalf. I really enjoy the progression of those 2 characters throughout the story. I think the actors were extremely well chosen to play their parts. As far as the underlying message, I think it is the ultimate battle of Good against Evil. I think it also conveys that some things are worth fighting for and that it is important to unite and put aside our differences in order for the light to eventually triumph over darkness. Everything has a price and sometimes sacrifices must be made, but ultimately, it is worth it.

I am starting to read the books and i am a little less then half way and i almost feel like i almost have watched the whole movie as most of the famous quits from the movie i have already read, Most movies don't do books justice so far i am really enjoying the book but the movies are really good and if any movie was gonna do any book any kind of justice i feel it would be these movies
