Is it safe to ve your photo on networking sites?

Nothing is ever safe on the net. That is the hard truth. You never know who is creeping photos and if you password protect a photo, the passwords can easily be bypassed.

for me, it depends on how much friends do i trust in that social network. and how much further i want to create a truly friendship there. example : i feel more comfy to put many of my pictures in hi5, coz i have lotz of great friends there eventho i met them through the net. why can i say that ? because they really put their own pictures as i can see naturally indoor n outdoor with the same face lol, it is them lol..so did i put my real pictures, coz i wanna build a trusted online friendship n ive made it so far. n i also hate to lie lol..if i dont want ppl to lie to me, deceive me or fake me, then i shud give the 1st shot n prove that i am real, and that i am safe lol.

No way should I upload my own pic on social networking sites. Although I have a gallery using Coppermine but is password protected and only trusted individuals are given access.

I think there is nothing 100% safe. To what degree of safety you prefer, then you could decide how much your personal information is exposed. What I mean is, for example, when you join Facebook, you will have a network of friends and relatives that you know, if you trust them, just upload normal pixs. But if your friend network is not reliable, like you make friends with someone on the Internet or you don't understand well about them, you'd better keep your information private. uploading pictures on the websites is not safe, any one can modify it and use it for there own purpose,so in your profiles you can keep some beautiful picture of nature,cartoons,etc.
