last night, when i was having dinner, my three-year old nephew Xyron, approached me and whispered something in my ear. he said he has a crush on Marimar! Marimar is a tv character originally popularized by Mexican star Thalia and locally portrayed by our local actress Marian Rivera. Xyron said he likes Marimar portrayed by Marian Rivera. ^__^;;
i found it funny that's why i was laughing at my nephew and he was laughing too. aside from the fact that it tickled because he whispered way too near in my ear and i can feel some shower of saliva. i couldn't believe it! he was just three years old and yet he already said that. he probably doesn't even know what it means.
so do you have little kids or nephews or nieces same as my nephew?

I remember liking this one girl around that age but thats all I can remember and still know who she is till this day. Oh yeah I'm not with her in a relationship. I just still know her. Thats all there is to it. I don't remember much when I was 3 years old though. Most people don't.

Yes actually. Some people are just meant to be together, and they will have a crush on each other before they admit that they love that person.

Yes, I do believe in true love. I also believe that true love has no race, religion, age, or gender. Love can happen to anyone at anytime. Love is love.

Children learn these behaviour from what they see around them. Most kids now have tv as their babysitter so what do you expect them to learn?
Back when I was that age I never knew what it meant by "crush" but one day I heard it from my best friend and although I had never heard the word before I somehow immediately picked up the meaning just base on her sentence. Kids are fast learner, you know?
Anyway, a three year old having a crush and expressing it is kinda cute.

Dear Jemina,
You are so RIGHT.... nowadays children are so exposed to
the tv..they picked up everything from there..some cartoons
also depict love, crush and likings...even in Garfield ,
in Japanese cartoon : Shin Chan, Doraemon, English cartoon like
Cinderella, Beuaty and the Beast etc.
All the best and do keep in touch!

That is how kids nowadays grew fast... even the way they think seems to be so advanced that they act so strange that we never had imagined. Like you, my niece had her first crush when she was around 4 years... though a year over than yours. They know the word but I guess they are stil clueless with its real meaning and feeling

yes, i do and i know a kid who is two years old who has a crush on dingdong dantes kids are so different today if compared to kids of my time (or my mom's time or whatever). i think they know of things faster. i am afraid that my daughter (she's six months old today) would say to me in a year's time, mommy, i want to marry so-and-sokids!

I believe that kids that young can BELIEVE they have crushes...but I don't think they really understand what a crush entails lol. My nieces (5 and 7) think they have crushed on boys in their classes (of course!) lol. But it defeniatly isn't like the crushes you and I get! :P I think a childs 'crush' is a lot more innocent lol.

Yes I do! Although she is now almost five years old, I remember my niece having a crush on Danielle Radcliffe or Harry Potter when she was still three! But now, she already forgot about him and found out someone else, it's Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. At first, I didn't know until we were both watching the Disney Channel. I told her that I have crush on one of the Jonas Brothers and she told me that she too has a crush on one of them. The music video of the Jonas brothers was shown and I told her who my crush was and pointed to Joe. She got mad at me and told me that Joe Jonas was also her crush and said that Joe Jonas is only for her. I can't forget her face. She almost cried telling me that!

I dont think its really a crush as such, but it certainly is a good sign that he is a normal little boy. However this should be carefully monitored as you all would not want him to be too far ahead of his time and not enjoy his childhood in real time.

When my son was married.....four years ago. My granddaughter was the flower girl....she was 5...the ring bearer was 4...and he instantly took to my granddaughter....during the wedding dance he got mad at her if she danced with or paid any attention to anyone esle during the dance..for a while he sat on the stage where the band was pouting because she was out with the other little kids on the dance floor...and after the wedding when they were just outside the church...he kissed her.....I do think it's possible!

Children are the best judges of physical beauty. Scientific studies corroborate that. That is why I don't find it impossible for someone as young as him to have a crush... and he chose a really pretty one to set his sights on! :)

there are scientific studies for that? hmmm... reminds me, some people says babies can distinguish real beauty and they don't depend on the physical appearance.

My coworker's son, a cute two year old boy, was in the trick or treat party the other day. He was wearing a power ranger costume e, very cute one. Then this cute boy saw a girl same as his age wearing a gown. He was so amazed, that he went near the girl and hold her hand. We were really shocked and we started to tease them. we even shouted KISS and without hesitation, he reached the girl's cheek and gave her a sweet kiss. The entire party, he kept on holding the girl's hand. It's so funny that a two year old boy would that be aggressive. I had with me the picture of this cute boy kissing the girl.
