I have to disagree that it is "almost clear" that Obama will be the next President. As to when the results are announced this varies, depending on when the polls close and how long it takes for each precinct to get their results reported. In the Bush/Gore race in 2000, because of voting discrepancies and the lawsuits that followed, George W. Bush was not actually declared the winner until January 6, 2001. I, for one, certainly hope that whatever the results, there is an immediate clear-cut winner. I fear that a delay such as what occurred in the 2000 election would not be a good thing for our country. This race seems to have brought out the radicals on both sides, and I fear that there might be problems in that area if there is a delay in declaring the winner.
