Get more true friends around me.

They say that the only person you can trust is yourself so if you are looking fo a friend that you can trust fully, it will hard to look for one, maybe you can have a friend but I say never trust them that much, there are limits I think.

There is that. People in general are just using other people as some means to get to/have something. One might not think that way but its quite instinctive and a engraved in our genes for survival. Well, speaking in terms of relationships there are those acts and intentions that people do for each other because they just want to. If you think about it, a person who does something for someone without expecting anything in return might seem self less but you have to consider that the person who gave feels happy when he does that. So he's doing it not just to make others happy but to make himself happy as well. Hmm, I seemed to have babbled. Anyway, I do face the same problem. I just dont dwell on it cause it just make me go 'emo'.LOL! I just give everyone the benefit of the doubt. If they are truly there for me, then I guess Ive been lucky. Finding true friends is hard but when you are true to your friends it might comes along the way...

well, true friends are hard to be found. there are many out there who can be considered as friend but not same as the true one. These causal friends will not stick to you like the true friends do. The true friends will be with you through thick and thin that is a true friend. they are hard to find. Many are hypocrites. They are good when you are also in good shape but when you are in trouble, the will never bother to help you out.

I don't have a lot of friends, but the friends that I have are true friends. They are honest and I know that I can trust them. It is not easy for me to find friends, I am not very outgoing and I am usually quiet and shy when I meet new people, so I can relate to your problem. I have met many of my friends online. We started out writing eachother, chatting etc and later on we met in person. A few of them have become really close friends over the years. Other online friendships don't last long and it takes a while to find out who is honest and who can be trusted, but I simply try writing to different people and see how things develop. Sometimes I get disappointed, but I think that the best way to find good friends is simply to keep on trying, and eventually the right person will turn up. Have you tried finding online friends?
