I have not read the book this movie was based on, but I had heard this was a good movie and of course it was. Very realistic is the way I like my romance books and movies because even though we love a good Jane Austen ending we realize that life is just not geared that way when it boils down to it. This movie began slow and I hung in there...and I really like how the directors cut from the child's POV to the adults POV several times...it added to the understanding of how something that is misunderstood can lead to a rather comlicated ending. There are a variety of lessons shown through this dramatic story of love and fate. And I have to admit when the point came of reality I could not stop crying because everything made sense and I do believe if this was not a true story it was inspired by someone. A beautiful story does not have to end in ribbons and bows. What did you think of this movie?
