I want to keep the cat

There is an old broken down house next to mine and last week I found a little kitten there it was so puny and weak as it was starving so I took it to my house and gave it some food and i put it back in that house but now the little kitten comes everyday and I give it food ,it wants to stay with me and I to would like to keep it but my dad asks me not to bring it into the house and to get rid of it.There is a vetenary place close by but if I hand over the cat there they would give it away to someone else.What am I to do?

I have had three cats in my life and I got each one excatly the same way, I wish your dad would let you keep the cat as they are beautiful souls, I have loved the three cats I have been lucky to have in my life, can you maybe keep the cat as an outside cat perhaps, have it fixed up at the vet so it doesn't produce more kittens, they are very good at keeping mice down, at least mine have been. Good luck i hope you can get to keep the kitty..they are beautiful pets...
