i was going through my friends and soooooo many that have just given up after being very very active were at like 900 and something!! its so close but 99% were always below that when they quit.. obviously since they are over 500 they have already made payout once so they know its legit so why are they quitting now??

So far, most of the active referrals in my list remain active. Which is just a few actually. The rest just never make it to the 500 mark. Most of them don't even have a hundred posts to their name. It is so sad that they are not making the effort to be active here.

ha ha ha ha... not everyone share the same view as you do. For all you know, these people have gone on to better sites that they feel pays them better. Or they just got bored cos they do not want to invest that kind of efforts to reach payout.

i dont understand people that sign up and never return.. even when i sign up for something and dont do much on it if i know i wont do anything on it i will delete it so i dont have to worry about people trying to contact me through it and me not getting things etc

I wouldnt know anything about all that, lol I only just started, but I think its great to get even a tiny bit of money for doing what we do here. i mean, its fun and its easy. What more do you want? I mean I wouldnt do this for a living because obviously it does take time to make a decent amount, but hey a little extra just for having a little fun, cant beat that! I hope i dont end up quitting like those you speak of.

Hi, moonlitmagikchild. It might be a matter of burnout, just needing a little break, something like that. I can't remember my numbers at the time, but I remember feeling like I had really hit my stride, but then suddenly needed a break from it all. At the time there seemed to be a lot of bickering, people being mean and I didn't want that in my life. It is likely they will be back at some point.

I think because it's not a fast way to make money....it's more social then for pay. I think those that try to make a living this was get frustrated! But if you are here for the social part....to meet people and exchange ideas...then it's easier.

I think a lot of people sign up for the money and find out it doesnt pay like they thought it would, others sign up really liking the site but spend so much time here that they start getting burned out(this kind of happened to me but I refuse to give up). I think some get upset when they dont get the response they expect from there discussions too. I can think of a few reasons people might leave, Iknow that I wasnt even here for a month when I started noticeing some dropping out of my friends list so I know what your talking about. I guess we just have to enjoy the ones that stay. Cheers, Tianna

I do agree with you, except for one point. :) "obviously since they are over 500 they have already made payout once..." I beg to differ with that. I am getting close to 900 and I have not yet reached my first payout yet. For some of us, it takes a while. I'm not always able to spend a lot of time here, and even when I am, I'm not always able to make "quality" posts every single time that I post. Sometimes you can answer a question in 1 or 2 sentences instead of writing paragraphs worth of information. Anyway, it is very possible to be over 500 posts and still have not made your first payout yet. :) But, otherwise, I agree with you. :) Of course myLot is legit! It's just that some of us are just slower than others! *LOL* Cheers! :)

i wonder why it took so long point wise for you?? i was told by several people that you definitely make it by 500 or 600 at most.. weird.. and im not talking about people that have like gone missing for days but people i have known when they started up or only a couple of hundred and posted like 20 times a day some times then have been gone for MONTHS and they are so close to hitting it so its like wtf?? they started off hard and poof gone

I made my first payout with 800 points. I do have few on and off active referrals here on mylot and I tried to make my post/respond of at least four or more lines of sentence. I have read before from a long time active mylotters that longer post/response gives you a higher earnings than a short liner post.

I think that perhaps they find something else or they really are fustrated. I don't know, I go back and forth. I have burst of activity where I post like crazy and then do nothing for a couple months. I do have other stuff going on.

I'm not sure. I never really searched through my friends and noticed anything like this... Then again, I never paid much attention. Oh well, what can you do? It would be nice for more friends to remain active rather than just letting their account sit. Lots of us have fun here -- guess they got bored of it or something?

Sometimes it could be a case of things have happened...pc broke down, had to cut off the internet...the time of year. I find I'm on less during the summer and on more during the winter. I noticed after a while some of the discussions seem repetitive if you dont branch out and add more interests. I've also noticed that people come back every once in a while.

i know i had the opposite.. i had too many interest and had to whittle them down a lot.. but yeah seems like some just get repeated no matter what!!

I would have to agree with you for I have noticed alot of my good friends here on mylot have done this. I think your going to find a majority of alot of them quit because of certain discussions and nonsense going on in here which I think is crazyness to even bother with it. I'm hopeing that alot of these new people don't let 1/2 of what is said in here get to them and just be here to have fun. I know I will never quit and remain to have fun here for many more to come.

i know i have too much fun on here so maybe i am not paying attention to every point there for not stressing when i dont make 5,000 in one month or something lol.. but its crazy how many people are just GONE!! some are like only a few points away from 1,000 too!!

i tot it should be the other way. if i am in such a position i would be very determine to reach 1000 as a milestone. now i just cross 500 and i am happy. so my next target is 1000. if i am already at 900 i would never give up posting until i reach it.

yeah its like at first you have the 500, then 1,000 and by then you have the hang of it to where goals dont matter.. their nice but its not hard anymore and congrats on 500 and your copy and paste privileges
