Media in the tank for Obama

More proof that the media bias for Obama has reached staggering proportions this year. The Pew research center and journalism.org (neither right wing by the way)have reported on the type of media coverage on this campaign. While to most of us this comes as no surprise, it is still amazing that McCain has done so well with all of this free fluff coverage for Obama. I am not a big fan of the press in this country as I think they do us a disservice no matter which side they support. They never give any detailed reports on anything other than American Idol results. The internet is the only place to get any detailed information and then you have to be careful of the sources. These results of this study show the following: Overall Media Coverage of McCain Negative - 57% Neutral - 29% Positive - 14% Overall Media Coverage of Obama Negative - 29% Neutral - 35% Positive - 36% The coverage in newspapers are even more biased towards Obama. Newspaper Coverage of McCain Negative - 69% Neutral - 25% Positive - 6% Newspaper Coverage of Obama Negative - 27% Neutral - 27% Positive - 45% The full study can be found at http://journalism.org/node/13437

Firstly: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1772665.aspx Secondly: "...when network news people ventured opinions in recent weeks, 28% of the statements were positive for Obama and 72% negative. Network reporting also tilted against McCain, but far less dramatically, with 43% of the statements positive and 57% negative, according to the Washington-based media center." --http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-onthemedia27-2008jul27,0,712999.story What say you in light of these?

That article you are referring to is from July and is talking about the first few weeks of the campaign. The media absolutely loved McCain when he was the Republican moderate running for the nomination. Once he became the more conservative of the two candidates, the honeymoon was over. Also the article you refer to was written by a staff writer at the LA Times which is one of the most biased newspapers. Wow, if they say they are not biased they must not be. So do you have anything that is relevant to the recent or overall coverage?

Hello? What about that first link? That just happened too. Conservatives get a free hour to exclusively push their talking points. That's not biased in McCain's favor?

The most reliable sign of a floundering political campaign is when they start to blame the media.

I have a feeling that it will only get worse before it gets better. No matter who goes to office. There is going to be problems with race, and everything else.
