Hi friends, Im from philippines, basically we use spoon and fork while eating. And sometimes we dont even use any utinsils at all, only our bare hands,it is fun doing it. But make sure your hands are clean by washing it thoroughly before eating.

We use a fork and spoon or fork and knife depending on the requirement or at times only a spoon or just a fork. A lot of us indian s however love to eat with bare hands and say that they do not enjoy food till it is touched with the hand. They feel that a spoon or a fork is too impersonal and does nto give them satisfaction of having eaten food and they feel hungry and unsatisfied at the end of the meal. I somehouw have got used to spoon and fork because of my upbringing, but once in a while i still do love to eat with hand.

Thats true, it is very different when you touch the food you eat by hand for you really felt it and sometimes you feel its aroma, you will love what you eat. But i still prefer using spoon and fork for it is nice and neat to look at.

Me and my cousin we hate to get our hands dirty with grease or oil. We use always the spoon, fork and the knife, but i make exceptions...this rule doesn't go with my cousin he is weird a little he eats everything with the fork to avoid touching the food (especially with the oil), even pancakes, I eat them with bare hands we all do but not him. Another thing is that he has to drink his cocoa, capuccino, tea or hot chocolate with the spoon. pressing his cheeck, onced I made him some hot chocolate and he asked me to go back to the kitchen and fetch him a small spoon so he can drink it... i was like

hi margarit long time no see....err i ment posting. anyway my whole entire family is chinese so i use chopsticks. most american think chopsticks are hard to use..... but in my opinion chopsticks has become practically a i don't know what to call it like a sence or something. you know what using chopsticks practically is the same as walking everyday which i walk at least 3-4 flights of steps on weekdays in my opinion using a spoon is a bit challenging i rarely use spoons maybe my brother does because he does not know how to use chopsticks(that is pretty wierd because he is 6 and my cousin is 2 and he already knows how to use chopsticks.....lol) but anyway my favorite utensil is probibally chopsticks. happy mylotting...peace out -gbeast95

hello friend, Well, i am learning how to use chopsticks but honestly i cannot hold the food longer. . I rather use my bare hand than using it. It make me very hard to eat when i use chopsticks. For me the best way to use in eating is spoon and fork for you can get the food easily without any effort to do it. Thanks for responding.

I'm using spoon and fork but very seldom to used my bare hands. Every time I used my hand I cannot eat too much feeling I can swallow a lot of air. Much better for me to used chopstick rather than my bare hands only. Even we eating with utensils, make sure to washed first our hands and comb and fix our hair for it will not fall in our foods while eating. :)

I guess it is opposite to me, i dont know how to use chopstick, i cant hold to food actually, so i rather use my bare hand to pick up the food that i am going to eat. Thanks for responding.

I regularly use the basics which are the spoon and the fork. Those are the basic means of eating here in the Philippines. Its more comfortable to eat with spoon and fork rather than eating with just bare hands.

Depends on what I eat. When I eat western food, for example steak, I will use fork and knife. If I eat noodles then I prefer to use chopstick. If eating Japanese food, also use chopstick. Usually at home I have rice and dishes and I at we plate therefore, I use spoon and fork. If I eat with bowl, I will use chopstick and spoon. So there is different occasion that I use different utensils.

Spoon and fork are the basic utensils we use at home to eat. But never will I forget eating with my hands, my right hand per se. They must be clean of course before I eat. There are food which I enjoyed eating more when using my hands especially those food packed with banana leaf or "binalot" in Filipino. I miss eating such...

Most of the time when I eat rice and curry I use my hands, but if I eat things like sphaghetti and macaroni etc, I use the fork. But when I go out to restaurants, I use fork and knife or fork and spoon.
