count me in! i love watching movies and i seem to like scaring myself during the Halloween by watching a lot of horror movies.^__^;;
i started yesterday with my marathon and i started with The Sixth Sense. yes, i haven't watched it before. it was the first time i watched it yesterday. i loved the scene where i was really surprised a short scream escaped my mouth. that's when a ghost of the little girl appeared inside Cole's little sanctuary inside his room. and then i watched American Haunting. its not that scary but there was also a scene where i was really surprised and screamed a little.^__^;;
its hard to find movies that can really scare me. most movies that i find are all blood and gore. i guess its time i turn to Asian horror movies which are all full of creepiness and weirdness.
any good horror movies you know? ^__^

I don't watch scary movies during Halloween as I'm too scared enough by my cousins scary stories.I'm not a fan horror movies at all though I have watched The Sixth Sense before and find it great movie. It was not really that scary but it can make you scream which I did.

When I was younger I loved horror movies but now that I am 51 years old I don't like
them anymore. I haven't watched one for about 10 years now.
My daughter, who shares a suite with me, watched one on halloween night and I was on
the computer. probably here in mylot, and so I listened to it as my computer is in
the same room as our main TV. Here is a picture of my office area before we moved in
but it shows where I have my computer desk and our TV is just on the right of the
picture, in the same room, and our couch is on the left hand side, where my daughter
sat to watch the movie. So I couldn't help but hear it.
It was scarry just listening to it, never mind watching it. I had my back to the TV.
Alrighty then, talk to you later,
your friend Chris.

I don't remeber or know for that matter. All I remember is it had a lot of horror and
gore. It is the gore part I realy hate. I can't look or stomach it.

me too. i'm a scaredy cat when i was little. but i overcame it as i grow old. i don't see horror movies now as plain scary. i still see them as scary but i now find them as 100% pure entertainment.

Heya, I love watching horror movies regardless of the time of year.^_^ Im just looking for that one movie that will really scare me and give me a sleepless night. Im not easily afraid with the movies out there too. I quite agree that blood and gore seems to be the trend in horror movies nowadays. The only horror movie that I can think of that had a good reaction from me would be See No Evil. Its not really that scary as well but it my toes curled while watching the movie. Probably from anticipating what happens next. Just to see if my guess is correct or not
Red Rose (from the book of Stephen King) and The Exorcism of Emily Rose are two good horror movies. Though Emily Rose would be a good spiritual movie than anything.
Yeah, there are a lot of good horror stories from Asia. The theme that I get from it would be either dolls and revenge.
I so recommend Shutter!^_^ But then again, you've probably already seen it.

See No Evil is a blood and gore movie too right? it features a certain wrestler, i forgot his name! was it Kane? anyway, yeah, i've watched the Shutter already. the original version. i've watched it a long time ago. it was really creepy.

Yeah, it is a blood and gore movie, and you are right about Kane.^_^
Its not really that great of a movie, its noticeable that there are only a few characters and just about one setting, just different rooms.
So far, Shutter is the best for me even if I wasnt scared. I just love the storyline and how the horror factor got integrated into the story. It kinda disturbed me in the end with the twist and how everything connects.

wow... didn't know you are so brave..
I'm never a fan of horror movie and never will be.
I love Sixth Sense though. It's not exactly scary.. I love the twist at the end. It really caught me by surprise.
If you really like horror, yup.. you should turn to Thai/Japanese horror movies. Those are the most horrifying!! It's not just the blood and gore.. it's the creepiness..

It depends on the movie. I can watch stuff like The Sixth Sense but not Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I tried to watch the new movie The Strangers with my husband the other day but I ended up leaving the room. All the pounding and screaming gets to me. I don't really enjoy horror movies any time of year.

I am in that boat too. I like watching some of the Fearfest stuff they run on cable too. I even own a good collection of scary movies for the rest of the year. One of my favorites is American Werewolf in London. I think it has it all.

Hi,
I don't really have a specific season or day to watch horror movies. On Halloween I mainly watch the horror movies that are been screened on TV.And that was SAW 1,this time.
And about horror movies, the SAW series are freaky.Grudge is also good,it freaked me out also and I don't usually get freaked out that easily. The Ring is one of my favourites.I've heard The Omen is also good, though I haven't watched it yet.Check them out.You might like them.

I watched Saw 4, well it was actually yesterday rather than Halloween itself, but I found the film very perplexing, I have followed the Saw franchise, but I have to say Saw 1 and 2 are by far the best! I loved The Sixth Sense, fantastic film and that boy what a fantastic actor he is, I don't usually like Bruce Willis in films other than Die Hard because he is more or less typecasted into those films but he played a blinder for sure! And Toni Collette, don't you just love her! Especially in Muriel's Wedding, sorry I digress. I can watch horror movies all year round, it's my favourite genre, but for me the horror film has GOT to be realistic, not some pyscho running around who can't be killed that is not my kind of film, Halloween and Friday 13th part 1000 LOL just goes on and on and on and on! My favourite horror movies are Hostel, Saw, Final Destination 1, 2 and 3! I can't watch horror films with bugs in it though, I am strange like that, I can watch people being killed by people or unknown forces but when it comes to bugs killing people and eating them well that just grosses me out and I can't watch it, Starship Troopers and Fly are two films that I can't bear to watch.

you can stand all those blood and gore from people killing people but not bugs? well i guess there really are differences there. i've watched Hostel and Final destination too. Hostel has got its creepiness and weirdness and ugh, the blood and the gore. Final Destination is less creepy for me. although there is the suspense, but less thrilling.

OMG YES YES YES!!! Halloween is one of my favorite times
to watch horror movies. I'll watch all year long but the
atmosphere and the festive nature of Halloween makes my
blood pump faster hoping for a new horror movie to be
released in theaters.
If there are no new flicks, then I'll watch some from my
video library. Sometimes I'm in the mood for gore like the
SAW movies. Other times I love monster movies like Alien.
When I want a good psychological thriller I'll watch any
Hitchcock movie or something close to it.
I hope your Halloween was fun and scary my myLotian friend.

Hi Secretbear, it's not only during Halloween that I watch horror movies, it's like almost the whole year round!
I've seen Sixth Sense, White Noise, Friday 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street series, but none could match the old classics like Omen, Exorcist or even Psycho (to me, anyway). The Asian horror shows are rather scary, especially those from Japan, Korea and Thailand. Well, have fun!

I really like Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween!! Horror movies have gotten rather generic these days, lol...I didn't get much of a chance to watch any Halloween night, but I watched quite a few in the days counting up to it!! Glad you enjoyed!!
