If A DeskTop And A Laptop Contains Same Configuration Than Which One is Better??

I believe Laptop because its portable so i can carry it easily. But some of my students believe that Desktop, why because they can play games, which is not comfortable in laptop. Is this true?????????????? Please put your comments.........
and its also in discussion that some multimedia work like photoshop, 3DSMAX is to run in desktop is safe then laptop. Please focus on this also. thank you.

I have a laptop and I can play games here. It's not entirely uncomfortable but I guess it depends on the screen size. I think bigger screen is better for game play and a computer technician told me that desktops are fit for gaming. I have tried Photoshop in my laptop, I don't have much problems.
I think whichever's better depends on the user. I currently have Lenovo Y410 laptop. You can look it up online if you want to see its specs and all. :)

thank you for response I also hv lenevo laptop but i m not very much game hopper. so i need suggestion. thank you. ys i also tried photoshop i dnt face 2 much problem but i never tried 3dsmax on it. can u put any focus on it

If the same config laptop is better. the difference between them is that you can upgrade your desktop in the coming years unlike the laptop only the hd and the ram are upgradeable.

Yup laptop as it is portable and handy too.
I can't imagine that this can be happen soon, as desktop is using a full power as greedy as it can be to boost up its performance while laptop have to save its power life (battery power capacity is not as abundant enough to be used rigorously)... Judge by this power thing, there's can be no precise configuration between laptop and desktop.
