With the recession looming ahead and the catalyst being the collapse of financial companies such as Lehman Brothers and Merryl Lynch, I feel afraid to keep my hard earned cash in banks these days. I wonder if any bank is safe these days? What do you think is the safest bank and why do you think that You are keen to keep your cash there?

I understand the frustration that you as well as countless thousands of americans and people all over the globe in other countries must be facing with the decline of the steady economic collapse and to answer your question I have used Commerce bank which recently merged with TD BancNorth and even before Commerce was known as Commerce it was known as Prestige Bank about 14 years ago but even still it makes me a bit nervous thinking about what could happen as banks with corrupt loans are bought up which is why after much serious consideration and debate I have decided to design my own safety deposit box which I would use for storage of change, cash, visa travelers checks, and anything else that is considered monetary that would not lose its value in 5 to 10 years

I think the Switzerland bank is the most trusted bank in the world. I don't know the minimum deposit to it, and I don't think I would be able to put my money there. Even if I want to LOL. I kept using my local bank which were the most trusted in my country, and I hope there would be no problems at all about that.
