Could everyone tell me how to improve my reading speed. I've been studying English for several years. And I am still unsatisfied with my reading speed. I've always dreamed of my reading speed as fast as my reading the native magazine. Yet I still don't find that feeling when I read the site like NEW YORK TIMES and CNN. Is the vocabulary in my way? But only have I little problem with that,I think. Then, maybe there is something else.could you give me some suggesion? Thanks.

We can only improve our reading speed by Reading itself.the more you read the more you can familiar with the words, and sentences.

I agree, I don't think there is a way to improve on something if you don't practice so in your case just reading as much as you can.

If you want to improve youre reading speed the only thing i can suggest is read as much as you can. Practice makes perfect. The more you read the more you will feel comfortable with range of words and the faster you will read. Howevre if you stop reading you can expect your reading speed to go down as youre probably out of practice.

i suggest you read more often than you are doing. read lots of books that you think are interesting. practice reading more often and i think you should try to have a time limit when you are reading. in that way, you're reading capacity will increase.

One way to improve your reading speed is to read outloud. Sometimes doing that will make the words stick in your head better and perhaps also make some of the meanings more clear to you. Another thing you could do is to have a friend who speaks English as a first language help you when you come upon phrases and words that you do not understand or maybe read outloud to them and have them help you through the rough parts. I hope this helps.

The most important thing is not to get hung up over words you don't understand. If you're taking too long to figure out one word, you will forget the sentence you were reading and have to read it all over again. Its most important to just understand the gist of a sentence.
