About voting...

Some people believe part or all the reason Bush didn't get the popular vote was because people out West, due to the time difference, were hearing all the media reports that the election was decided and Gore was going to definitely win. So they think maybe a good number of people just gave up and didn't bother voting. It was close there, I think about 537 votes separated them in one state. But the news reports were WRONG Just like now you are seeing some polls that have McCain and Obama within 3 points of each other - within the margin of error. And other polls show McCain trailing by double digits. The moral of the story is VOTE!!!! Don't be bothered by any reports, just go and VOTE -- they cannot tell what is going to happen no matter how much some media outlets try to. Don't let them discourage you into thinking your vote won't count. It's a VERY CLOSE race. Too close to call til ALL the votes have been counted.

I agree that no matter your stand you should exercise your right to vote. No matter who you are voting for.

Right. There have been one or two times in history where things really did come down to ONE VOTE. Even in the example I started with of Bush and Gore, imagine only 537 people is NOT a lot compared to our whole population. It may not have changed the outcome of the election but it sure could have saved our country a lot of agony and expense if the popular vote had matched. No matter who you vote for, VOTE. and no matter who says it's over, don't that discourage you from voting. It aint over til it's over.

Well not only is there a Presidential election but state and local election. Also there are in many cities and state ballet issue. State and local election play just as much role in our life, if not more than a national election. So even if someone lives in a state that your candidate is not going to win, there are other reasons to vote besides the Presidential election.

You are so right. Hopefully no one will give up and not vote during this very important election. It would be sad to think that you did not vote, only to find out that your vote could have made a difference.

Absolutely VOTE! It is critical especially this time, with so much at stake, and with the possibility of voter fraud, etc. Make yours count!
