When I had my 4th child, I had an epidural and it made the delivery so easy. There was no pain. My husband would tell me when I was having contractions and I would just talk or even sometimes sleep right them.

Just get to the hospital in plenty of time and tell them you want an epidural. It will be fine. I would have had tons more kids if I could have afforded it as long as I could get the epidural.

Epidurals can be your best friend. I had one and didn't feel a thing. I wound up having to have a c-section at the last minute, but I didn't feel the labor pains. It was great.

I too have a second baby on the way. I can tell you that I used epidural first time. It has made dekivery simple, but gave back pains later until 9 months. nOt sire if the real cause was epidural or the strain of having a baby.

I am not a mother and I don't have a wife yet but I have heard that it is easier to give birth after the first. My older sister's labor was shorter when she gave birth for her second baby. You know what, it just took her an hour of labor for that second baby child. She gave birth before they were able to bring her to the hospital. They also say that exercise like walking as you go to work is good. It also makes the delivery faster.

nothing worth doing is without some measure of pain or payment. That said, they say an epiderral helps a lot. I never had anypainkillers, so I wouldn't know. Then again, I'm told I tried to get up off the table last time around, which I don't remember so I would talk to your OBGYN about it, if I were you.
