obviously, it's not worth it. but you can't do anything about it. if someone isn't contented with this wage, then better seek for a greener pasture.

That was not enough for them to receive such amount here in the Phils. but unfortunately it happens. Being a teacher is not easy. Their life here is almost stuck to their occupation. They brought their paper works as well as their students still going to teachers house to ask about their home works etc. Lots of students who are "pasaway" hard headed hard to discipline.

i think they should get a raise so they can focus on teaching the kids. not only that their salary should be increased, but i think the school facilities should also be improved.

I think all workers in the Philippines deserves a raise, a good pay, so that they would not be tempted to work abroad. Teachers, doctors, nurses or any skilled workers most of them are now considering working abroad.

of course they should be paid higher than any profession because educators are the one who creates other profession right..they must also gain many benefits...teaching must be a profession rather on vocation..because if you will ask a teacher if they consider it a profession they will simply say it i a vocation dear.

teachers should earn more than 14k...and be given more benefits than what they are getting now, our government does not truly care for the welfare of our educators and the future of our country...instead of providing good income and livelihood here in our very own homeland so that our teachers and other professionals won't have to leave the country to opt for a better salary abroad..they(government) are even selling our fellowmen abroads..talk about modern day slavery...i once aspired to be a teacher and it is still open, with the money out of the question..my passion is really to teach young people and so that they can learn something valuable and hopefully they can use what they have learned from me...but with 14k how will i survive?even a call center agent who is an undergraduate can even way more than 14k...

If this salary can assure an educator (which is a fundamental cathegory for any normal country) a decent way of life, then I definitely say they are worth it, since they are the cornerstone of the country's education.

Well, they deserved more than 14k monthly salary.. We all know that in all jobs or profession teacher is the most difficult job because teachers are working more than 8 hours a day and even weekends and holidays they are still working at home doing lesson plans, preparations for lectures, grades, exams and checking papers.. They were working more than what is being asked in school policy.. So, they really deserves to get a high salary..
