how could you stay at same office for a long

i dont understand those people who are working in same office for from 5 years or 3 years means i feel so auckward bcz i did 1 and half years in sam,e office then i changed my field and joined a bpo where i was woking about 1 year i was yet to get promote but i left that also now where iam working it has been complete 4 months only but i found myself since joining i not comfortable here i also lerant that secret which help me to stay more here these are some critical decision which idont understand for ever so let me know the reasons
