Do you do carpooling? Often enough?

Hello, I would like to know do you do carpooling, if so how often would it be? Recently I travelled to a big city in my country in a bus. And it was the rush hour, but I came to notice most of the cars are having only the driver not one else. Especially those driving with a big and powerful fancy car. To me it is really not environmentally (greenhouse effect if you still can recall) and economically (even though the fuel prices has went down a lot recently) friendly. It is good to hear from your opinion and experience in carpooling. Thanks
