Cant connect to internet on new computer?

i've just bought a new computer (desktop), i had to download vista and all the other software like adobe reader etc. but my computer doesn't have wireless wireless built in. so i bought a wireless adapter to plug into the usb. after installing the adapter i can now pick up my wireless router. BUT... when i try to connect to my router it says that its an un secure connection. i then choose the option connect anyway. but its says it cannot connect for an unknown reason.. t may say that its an unsecure connection but i have another computer and my ps3 connected to it so i dont understand..

I think its just with your network IP settings, its a good thing your other unit is working so you could compare the two. Maybe its using fix(static) IP address or a dynamic(changing) IP address. It could also be in the gateway setting. It would be best to have someone who is familiar with this settings to have a look at it as you have to make use of the router's security settings to ensure no one that you did not allow to piggy back on your connection.
