i'm trying to find software that will join 2 avi's together. I've used a program called "alive video junior'but i would like to find something better.I would like to get more into editing and encoding so if anyone can recommend software that is easy to learn it would be a big help.

Try the use of Nero, i haven't used Nero8 yet but with Nero7 you can add and delete the music you want on a certain movie or whatever you might be editing, and what i like is the fact that is easy of use and whas many features Joining two parts of the movie as you want it can be done with ease and again splitting a movie into different parts also is as easy as ABCDE Maybe the downside of it is the fact that is bit expensive, unless you ask your friends. I would suggest you try it

I would recommend Sony Movie Vegas. I've been using this software for my video editing projects. It's so easy to use with lots of effects which you can use in your video editing projects.
