Murtha: No Honest Person Would Vote for This Bit of Scum!

12th District Congressman John "Semper Infidelis" Murtha is one stinking bit of rancid tallow that deserves our scorn, but no one's vote.
He sold his honor as a former Marine by playing judge, jury and would be executioner to the US Marines in the Haditha murder case. He was so sure that the US Marines accused of war crimes were guilty he even used his own experiences as a Marine to explain why they did it.
Of course, the waste of human flesh was completely silent when all of the Marines were aquitted and it turned out that the only people who claimed the war crimes happened were the enemy.
America's only Ex-Marine also accused his own constituents of being racist.
How can any honest person who says they support our Servicemembers ever pull the lever for this "man"? There's no excuse to even think it.

Yeah him and Stevens should not be re-elected. I'm really shocked that there aren't really any laws for elected officals spelled out in the Constitution.

The Constitution left it up to the states and the voters... where it belongs. The problem isn't the Constitution, it is lazy and disinterested voters and a press that refuses to do its job.

I seriously doubt that Stevens will be re elected. Typically Republicans are required to resign when they are convicted of something like this. It's dems that get a boost from a felony.

Seems that Murtha has got himself into hot water by calling his constituents racist. I understand that instead of coasting towards re-election has he has in the past, he now has a real fight on his hands. It will be interesting to see what happens to Murtha on election night!

He definitely hit a sour note with the racist comment. Unfortunately, it is true to a certain extent. Being from those parts, I can attest to a teacher even commenting about the Klan being heavy in PA. Also, the Klan has been in downtown Pittsburgh on different occasions. Not every major city has that. Therefore, it is not a shock to me that he was blunt about the issue. Murtha must have been feed up with the insanity of racism, and he is paying for speaking from the heart. We'll see what the polls have to say soon enough.

I wonder if people like Murtha realize that when they are speaking officially, they are speaking for the people in their district. He wasn't just an American voicing an opinion, he made an official declaration that the people the 12th district are racist. Not just some... not just those whose actions define themselves as racist, but all of his constituents. If they vote for him, they are seconding that declaration.

Savvy. Was he speaking from his heart when he lied through his crooked teeth about the Marines in Haditha?
He doesn't know the meaning of the words "Semper Fi". He probably used to, but he traded his honor for political brownie points.

PT2K, I have nothing but contempt for this sad excuse for humanity. As a former Marine I agree with you that he is an Ex-Marine. I don't think there are any Marines that would disagree. I have called his office several times asking when I should expect his apology, Their stock answer is that he isn't going to comment while the trial is ongoing. To which I politely remind the Phone screener that he made his original comments BEFORE the trial began. That's when they either find some reason to end the call or simply hang up. I find that The democrats really don't think much of their constituents in general.

The coward even tried to intimidate Jason Mattera by throwing his service in Mattera's face. Sure, he expects respect for HIS service, but commits slander in the name of his District against anyone he chooses.
To vote for Murtha is to spit on the Eagle Globe and Anchor itself.
