Archos 5 or ipod touch?

Hello. I just wanted to know which one i should go for because I realy dont know i know the archos has more memory than the itouch but which is better over all. If you have one of these please help me out because I am trying to decide which one to go for. So please help me out and give advice.

Ipod for coolness and battery life but tied to itunes only and expensive Archos if you want to view most of your media files without converting them you can use it as a HD and it is less expensive greater capacity. Go archos

thanks i agree totally but do you know of a site or company that sells them over the internet to countries like South Africa?

If you want a cheap Archos gen 5, I'm selling one! Archos 605 wifi 80GB! $250 or best offer! Maybe you could get both!

I've always hated iPod...I liked Archos because it had EVERYTHING. But i've already been thru 3 different Archos units. My third one: the 605 wifi 80GB is now in repair cuz it broke. As did my other ones. Archos is slow and freezes alot. Ipod it smoother, but it has crap for HDD space...so it depends on what you are looking for. Archos makes a great external HDD, however, iPod could prolly keep you more entertained for a lower prices
