what do you think about BPO AND KPO comapnies?

do you know before some years the work from US and other countries were given to Indian's and branches were established in top cities likes Bangalore DELHI TAMILNADU. means main cities, but now a days they are expanding there business or firms in small cities like dharwad hubli shimoga. they are paying Rs4000(96$) or 5000(103$) and making the employees to work for more than 8hours. is it fair?

Hi
Initially these BPOs and KPOs were situated in metropoliton cities and minimum salary was anything between 13k-15k (for freshers).
But now as US economy is facing recession, these BPOs and KPOs are getting less job and payment from US based Companies.
As a consequence, they are relocating into small cities and in drastic bid to reduce the cost and survive, they are paying lower salary.
Certainly it's not fair but considering the global economic conditions, these are forced to do this. In fact, if US economy doesn't revive really very soon, one day these BPOs and KPOs will simply vanish.
