It's November and it has not snowed yet we are finally getting Global Warming!

Usually at the end of October it starts to snow and then it starts to stay, but this year, we have had an unusual warm spell. It is not 66 F and Indian Summer has not ended yet. So now we here in Manitoba are finally getting Global Warming. For years, we heard of other countries sweltering in the heat in around the Equator = the countries where the global warmers often met (strange they never met in Winnipeg in January, our coldest month) while we saw the snow fall at the end of October. So now I do not have to put on my boots and my warm coat or wrap my scarf around my neck or put on my woolen cap. So anyone like me, happy because it has not snowed yet?

I used to live in Vancouver, B.C and when it snowed which was seldom it froze and it was very slippery to walk. So I know how you feel. That ice can be dangerous.

It is now back to the cold weather. We started to get it on the 4th or was it the 5th and now it is staying. Went out this morning, and I stayed on the lawns because it was so slippery.

Hello dear suspenseful. It is not a good thing if the usual practice of having snow suddenly changes due to the global warming. It was said that in the summer of 2008 many of the icebergs in the Antarctic Ocean started to melt, which means that the temperature of the earth will get higher than before. How I want the icebergs remain there to help maintain the normal temperature of our earth!
Here in my place, the east part of China usually snows at a late time when it is in January though there was one year when it snowed on December 1st. But in the north of China and some western part of China it has already started to snow somewhere.
I will not forget the snow disaster that we had at the beginning of this year, namely in early February. The snow disaster made us lose electricity for one week long when it was so cold. Without electricity life is so inconvenient.
Have a good day, my dear friend, and keep warm.

We do not have that much snow at the end of October and what it does melts away. Most of our permanent snow comes at the middle of December and lasts throughout January and part of February, but sometimes it will last until June. We had a wet summer this year and many of the wheat crops were destroyed because it rained in August when it should have been dry. Yet no matter what January is the coldest month, but we do need those dry days in August and early September to ripen the crops.
However I wonder whether people were that much concerned when we had that global cooling, like back at the end of the nineteenth century. And I wonder about the times they said they could grow cantelopes here in the prairies. I think what has happened we had a previous period of global warming, and following that a period of global cooling that ended when Al Gore wrote his book and he forgot about the previous period.

I love summer the best. Maybe they should make winters illegal.

I too feel that way, but if they ban winter, the also have to ban some annoying bugs, because it is the harsh cold winter days that cut down on the size and amount of insects we get..(Ever heard about how big the insects are in Southern America? Nice place to visit, not don't think I would want to live there, with those bugs..)

Well maybe not as cold as it gets. I do not exactly thrive on minus 40 degree weather. And why is it that when I talk about warmer climates I get a list of the wrong things with them? After all, my ancestors did not come from Russia or Siberia, they came from Western Europe that had a much milder climate. So I thrive in climates that are from zero to almost one hundred.

Climate Change occuring recently is leading to Global-Warming ... Such an aspect is being felt around the world; with very few or, rather, no nations being bothered about how today's humanity is tackle this man-created menace.
However, you mention that you are "happy because it has not snowed yet" in Manitoba, Canada ...
I am worried because where it snows during winter, it has not ... You know, what is going to happen in the future when Earth's weather goes topsy-turvy (as it has begun)? The end of the current-civilazation!Do you want to leave a bad omen on Earth' as have most of the civilazation in the past?

Snow? What is that? Can't remember the last time I saw it, is it white? LOL, here in the UK Global warming has definitely taken over, you could always guarantee snow this time of the year and I can't even remember the last time we had a White Christmas, possibly in the 70s! Our Winters are far milder, sometimes they are even warmer than some of the Summers we get! The only time I want to see snow is December 25th because if it does snow we are not used to it and everything grinds to a halt!

Oh kindred spirit I have so much to learn about your beautiful country! Christmas is too damn commercialized and it's all money, the true meaning has been lost. Yes Christmas and snow do indeed go hand in hand. I think I was Ebeneezer Scrooge in my previous life, it's all about spending money now, and money most of us can ill afford. And it's such an anticlimax, all the preparation just for two days! Bah humbug LOL!

I used to live in Vancouver, B.C. and hardly got snow there and I wondered what the fuss was about one horse sleighs, sleighbells ringing, etc and why would anyone want to put on winter boots and risk falling down on their rear ends or go slipping and sliding. I doubt that was much snow at Bethlehem that first Christmas, so why the wish for it?
When I was a small child living in Kent, when my memory was starting to work, there was snow, but not that much.

don't see any snow yet here too
but it already gets to -6 or -10 I think either night or morning
in a way I am not happy
usually if it's not as cold as usual at this time of the year
then when winter kicks in it would be a kill
I do hope to live in a warmer country but a drastic change of weather will harm the ecosystem for sure

It will snow, but people are adaptable. I heard it is getting colder and with the emphasis on that fake global warming, there will be some who will suffer. I mean it costs a lot to heat a house. We could not afford our attic insulation until we paid off our mortgage and we really should get our walls done, and our basement, but with my husband's stroke, we have to pay someone else to do it. He cannot do it himself.

Well, we did have snow in Northeast Ohio last week. I couldn't believe it when I looked out the window in the morning and everything was covered with snow. Now, however we are back to having nice, mild weather. It probably won't last long, so I'm going to try and enjoy it while I can.

We finally got our cold weather so now we will have snow to at least the end of February and possibly to the middle of March. It will not last long.

I don't live where it snows that much. In NC it snows around the mountains but on the east coast it doesn't snow that much. The cold has not come yet but when it does it will really be cold. So be happy that the snow and the cold hasn't come yet. But make sure you have your boots, coat and scarf ready for when it does. This year might be ruff with the cold weather and the snow.
I'm not really sure on the Global Warming issues but I feel that this year with all of the hurricanes that popped up could be some of it. Even right now being that October has ended and November just started. The cold will come soon enough. I just hope that it doesn't snow here on the east coast line of NC. If it does that means the weather is really cold and off balance. Also it could be due to the Global Warming.
I guess we will have to wait and see when it gets cold. Have a good one.

I go to Green USA and other sites and there are charts that shows that the earth is getting colder. Too bad I am not rich or i would order a plane and some henchmen who will put the Global Warmer advocates and let them off in Winnipeg in the middle of January. They will soon stop their Global warming ideas up.The earth is getting cooler, no sun spots, not warmer.
And I hate the snow.

Right now it is around 57 degrees F. I put on my sweater and my light jacket, and when we came home after the doctor's appointment, bill paying, and shopping, I told my husband "I'm going to change, it's way too hot." So I put on my summer t=shirt, one of them.

I don't believe it's global warming, it's just a cycle. If you study the earth's weather cycles over the centuries, this is probably normal. I wish it would start snowing! In Ohio we have Indian Summer now after that hard frost last week and in a few days things will get back to normal--40's and rainy, then snowy in a few weeks. Hooray!
I hope you enjoy your mild weather, I know a lot of people don't enjoy winter. I enjoy it mainly for the change, and to anticipate the spring. I love the sleet storms and the beautiful ice-covered trees glittering in the moonlight. There's not much that's more beautiful and awe-inspiring than that!

Tell that to the global warmer advocates. They think the temperature is warm because we turned on the air conditioner in summer, the furnace on in winter, and we have children, we walk, and we actually heat our food instead of eating it raw. And that we as humans actually exist.

It starts to snow here at the end of October. I do not want it to happen until at least January. And for it to only last a month. I rather love Global Warming. We need it up here in Manitoba, Canada.

I heard it is caused by the sunspots. So are you all going to demand that God make the sun not shoot off so many sun spots? Or blame God on everything? I also read that the weather is getting cooler, but then that was on the Green Usa web site, and I doubt that Al Gore bothers with that. Maybe the global warmers should have their annual "we are in danger of boiling away" meeting at Winnipeg, Manitoba in January. It gets to 40 below here, and that is without factoring in the wind chill.

It's been a lot colder here in Texas than usual for this time of year... We normally don't get down to freezing in October, but this year we sure did! Fortunately, it has since warmed back up to where it's supposed to be. So I guess we're both enjoying the weather!

I guess it switched. It was quite wet for the summer here and I think it was to lure those people from the west coast to come here and live. And as soon as they move it, then the weather will turn very cold in winter as it has always been. When we moved here from Saskatoon and that is in the same climate zone, it was unusually warm winter. I said it would not last and I was right.

That's quite amusing as here in London we rarely see snow until January or February time but we had snow a couple of weeks back when I was out celebrating Diwali. We were very shocked as it was the end of October and it snowed all evening and we joked that instead of a white Christmas we were having a white Diwali!

I like the snow. I am hot all the time so I would rather be cool. Here in Pennsylvania, it has gone back and forth. One day it is very cold and the next day hot. I am most comfortable inside at a cool temperature, with it snowing outside and hot chocolate in my hand.

I love the warm weather. But now the cold weather has come in, but usually it comes at the end of October. We did have crazy weather though. We had such a wet summer, I was beginning to believe that we had been transformed into Vancouver and I would wake up one day and see Burrard Inlet in our front yard.

It snowed here last week in Northern Ireland. I think it has gone down in records. It was 0 degrees c and the first time I have ever seen snow in October and I am 38yrs old.
Saying all that, it was like summers day today. It was around 10 degrees c and just a beautiful day. I think the axis of the world has shifted. Global warming can cause snow too though. Well someone said it last week on here.
I am glad it is warm where you are. Long may it last. I hate the cold.

We went from nice and warm until cold, on the 4th. Whether it is a coincidence since that is when they elected the new president of the United States or not, I cannot say, but now I have to get out my winter clothes, this snow will be permanent and we live on an off street so they do not sand it except when it joins the main road, so I will do a lot of walking on people's lawns to keep from silpping.
