Can Happiness be measured with Financial Success In Ones Profession?

Hello mylottians, A friend of mine who studied Law in college ended up working as journalist.. though he had his mind set on practicing law.. he delved into the journalism as he was lured by the money. He was successful financially though, he personally confided in me that he was not presently happy since he is not praticing the profession he did have passion for. Mylottians, i would like to know if happiness can be measured with ones chosen profession. I would appreciate your contributions so much mylottians.
