there are times that i need to research things when there's an interesting topic but then what i do is i quote what i have researched to inform that it is not solely from me. but most of the time i put in info based from my opinions & personal experiences. there are other mylotter who copy informations for the sake of having discussions which i think is unfair. how about you, what's your comment about this?

It depends on the discussion, mapi.. If I'm particularly familiar with a certain topic, and want to make a point, I would definitely quote it especially if it came from another website. I don't like people who copy pastes just to have something to post not only here but on other websites as well. I hope they would give the author the credit if they'll be including some texts in their post. yes, I believe it's very unfair to plagiarize.
I usually end up researching especially if the subject is about health since a very delicate matter. I think the point of being in forums/discussions like myLot is to be able to share our own point of view of a certain matter.

same here i don't like copying & pasting info from the internet just to have a discussion. that is only okay if it has been quoted or at least a link was given to prove that it was not his own coz that's stealing. i have encountered one mylotter who copy-paste all of his reply to all comments he received in his discussion. i think that is unfair & violates mylot rules. he might have shared his point of view but some really doest not relate to one's reply in short it does not jive. i pity him though coz he can't express what he has in mind & simply cheats by posting the same info. oh well.. thanks for the inout though. keep mylotting!

No, I don't research when responding to a discussion. I just write what I think about the topic being discussed. If it's in creating a discussion, I just write whatever I want and if there is an article or two that interest me, I try to include that in my discussion as well. I think, if you have to research for a discusiion then that would be too taxing already.

i do research at times if the question relates to technical things say one mylotter is asking about some solution he needs to the problems he is having & since i know the topic & would want to give accurate solution that's the time i research & then i would add my personal experience which of course doesn't need researching. but i do like your style though i do it as well if it doesn't require accurate solutins. thanks & keep mylotting!
