i have been a prepaid user ever since the boom of wireless telecommunication. i have seen the rise of technology in mobile phones & the expansion of telecommunication companies yet i still remain as a prepaid user despite of some advantages i can get. i have seen different designs of prepaid cards from hard to soft bound & the popularity of electronic loading, of sharing credits & unlimited text messaging etc etc.. still i remain a prepaid user. there are many advantages as to why i remain a prepaid user, i'm not much of a texter fan & rarely do i use the phone so at times when i load 50php i would not consume it not unless there's really important things i need to text or call. i don't consume more than 500 in my monthly phone expenses that's why i don't switch to postpaid. i have been thinking though of switching but i'm afraid it's either it's a waste of money for the bills or if not i'll be addcited into calling where my bills will be higher. i have some friends who has postpaid & is discouraging me to apply since they have too much bills. how about you, what cellphoen plan are you using?

When I still lived in Indo, I used to have a prepaid card since I could control my expenses better that way. I sent lots of SMSes back then and I also use my mobile to call people.
Now I live in Finland and I rarely use my mobile to call people or to send SMSes. There's a great package for postpaid users here (giving me free calls until a certain amount), so I only need to pay for SMS sending. Since I don't send too many SMSes anyway, I only pay around €1 every month.

I have been using post paid for a year now... and i really like it... because i do not need to worry about not having enough load... or going out just to look for a person or place where i can buy one... i have the consumable plan... so every month... i only pay 800 to 900 php... depending on how busy my work it...
It would really depend on how disciplined you are in using you cellphone... in my case... i learned to be like that... since i cannot afford to waste money...

it did happen to me one time i needed to send a message to my supervisor in the middle of the night but there's no store i could locate, the nearest convenience store was out of load (both electronic & card) so good poin on that. im ust agree it's all about discipline & needs. i believe in you line of worj you do need more credit for your phone so postpaid plan do fit you. keep mylotting!

I am a prepaid user. i really dont like it cause I run out of minutes as soon as I get them. I get 200 minutes for $20 but I like to text too. I like to talk on the phone alot. We want to get Cricket which is unlimited for $45 a month. Doesn't include texting, that is extra. But the phones are so expensive!! That's our problem. The Criket plan would be great we just don't have to money to drop on the phones but at the same time we are pouring all this money into the prepaid phones paying more in a month than we would if you had Cricket. Doesn't make sense to me.

that's always the downside of prepaid especially in your companies there in the U.S. & postpaid are the ones mostly chosen. coz here in the philippines we don't pay for incoming sms & calls, only outgoing. & i know for a fact that all companies in the US pay for both incoming & outgoing which comes out of your minutes. i'm not familiar with Cricket but i know T-Mobile is has great packages for both prepaid & postpaid.

I prefer prepaid because I feel that if I will enroll in a postpaid account, my bill will be so expensive! At least if I'm just using a prepaid card, it will be easier for me to control my cellphone usage especially when I call. I suggest prepaid loans instead to those who are in a tight budget! :)

i prefer prepaid than postpaid.well,i can't afford to support the expenses if i go postpaid.lol.but i think prepaid is more practical to use.and right now,i don't use my phone that much since i connect with my friends either on the phone or online,so i'll stick to prepaid.

I feel the prepaid is better the post paid as there are hidden costs and as its said NOTIN IN THIS WORLD COMES FOR FREE.. So no company is ever ready to give free calls as they claim and they are sure manu rigging also goin on in the process.. SO prepaid is a better option than postpaid. There is also an element of surprise in the post paid connections.

Well I'm a prepaid a user since then. My opinion to your discussion is that, subscribing either post-paid or pre-paid really depends about the user's needs. Of course if you have a lot of contacts, calls and texts are very much in need, if you have a work concerning with communicating people. Then it is advisable to subscribe in a post paid plan. Otherwise if you do not use your phone as often or if you're just using it just for simple matters. Pre-paid plans are good to go. It's just a matter of how do you use your phone in your daily living..

Hi mapi26..
I've been using prepaid line since I got my first cellphone.
I don't want to worry for my monthly so I preferred to use prepaid line.
So far I'm quite contented with my monthly load expenses.
I can control my load expenses and don't need to worry for monthly bills.
I usually load my phone with P500 prepaid card too.
And that 500 load is good for 60days.
Sometimes I consume it exactly one month and sometimes it takes two months before I use all that load. I usually spent it more on texting.
Have a nice day..

I am a prepaid phone user ever since i started using mobile phone. I think you are on the safer side when you use prepaid package. Postpaid is really a waste of money. People get addicted to calling and at the end of the month they get a heart attack looking at the bill. Using repaid is much much safer and you can spend what you actually have so you dont have to be worried about the bill and also about arranging money. If you earn alot and calling is really very important to you then i think you should use postpaid otherwise prepaid is best for those who dont want to waste money

Hello mapi26. I been using prepaid since day one. The reason I am using prepaid is because I want to budget my phone expenses. Postpaid plans give you free texts and calls but you have to be careful not to exceed the number of free minutes if you do not want to get additional charges.

i used to have a post paid plan. aside from the free cellphone that the cellphone company gave, i always find it an advantage to have unlimited text messaging.
