I started mine the day after Christmas LAST year!
I do it all year long. If I see something that I know someone will like, I'll get it, especially if it's on sale!
I started going into a higher gear around a month ago, too. I've ordered things that have already come in the mail. If there's anything I don't like about the Christmas season, it's shopping in crowded stores with people frantically trying to find 'that special gift'.
I like the Holiday season to be 100% enjoyable, so I always try to get the shopping done way ahead of time. I've even started buying some things for Christmas dinner already! Canned things like cranberry sauce, sauerkraut, peas, bread cubes for the stuffing, things like that. I have all the cookie-making ingredients except for the butter and almost have everything I need to make breads and candies I make every year as gifts.
Tell your husband that you're not nuts! LOL You're smart! I've noticed that men generally wait until the last minute to buy gifts and then come home with their stories about how crowded everything was or the store was out of something they wanted to buy. (Once again... Men! LOL)
I recently became the 'matriarch' of the family, so Christmas dinner and all the festivities fall on me now and I try to get as much as I can out of the way as early as possible so it doesn't become a stressful event.
It's smart planning!

This year I thought, I see an item on sale that someone would like im getting it..
Thats smart thinking the day after Christmas. I will have to try that... Usually after Christmas I just want to be done with it all... My husband always waits till the last minute. It's a shame he didnt come with a remote... LOL
I would push fast foreward when it comes to me asking him to do something.. Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts

Well, the day after Christmas is a bit of an exaggeration... I usually start a few days after Christmas, when everything's on sale. You just have to remember where you put the things you buy for Christmas next year!
Buying things throughout the year makes it seem like it's not such a strain on our finances. I NEVER charge anything!
That would be awesome if men came with a remote! If mine did, I'd have to hit the mute button every night to silence his snoring! LOL I think they all come with an alarm clock, though, and keep hitting the 'snooze' button!
Gotta love 'em, though. They need us, poor dears!

I actually ordered a few things through our school and boys scouts a month ago for family overseas. I still have a few things to get but waiting on more sales to happen. I have a few gift cards to use too :)
