I think the best gift, being a wife myself, would be to give her all your love and devotion, and mabe a nice bottle of her favorite perfume.

You could give her a day at a spa (massage must be included) Every now then your wife needs to pamper herself too. If she is a mom she will be very greatful.

I think it must be something really special... I remember I got a "present" for Christmas from my boyfriend, consisting on a weekend at the beach, full of love, good vibrations, sea, nice food and nice movies... just a great gift, as I did not want anything in special.

Depending on how much you want to spend, I would say a trip. I treated my husband to an exoctic vacation last year. He still has not stopped ranting about it! Also, gift cards for clothes!
