Have You Ever "Accidently" Stolen Something?

I went shopping with my mother in Wal-Mart a couple months back, and I got some items I wanted to pay for seperately. We ended up having a cartful of groceries and I went ahead and let my mom pay for those and I left my stuff in the cart.
When the cashier was done ringing up mom's stuff I grabbed my things out the cart and payed for them. As we were loading the things into the trunk, I noticed my tiny box of eyedrops at the bottom, under everything. After a minute of trying to remember whether I had payed for them, or maybe my mom did by accident, I realized that we walked out without paying for the eyedrops. It was an 'Oops' on my part.
If you discovered that you walked out the store without paying for an item, would you take the time to return it and apologize for your mistake, or would you take the item seeing it as a small mistake at the time? Would you have any guilt over it?
Needless to say, I didn't return the eyedrops. I just said Oh well and kept it moving, knowing that it would only happen just that once...

It's good you're an upstanding citizen. I thought about returning the eyedrops, but I had a busy day, plus I didn't feel like going all the way back up to Walmart to return a box of .97 cent eyedrops...

Oh yeah, A few years i was in Winn-Dixie buying groceries and they had a lot of very expensive make-up on clearance so i bought several tube of lipstick well, my grandson is very helpful and he "helped" by putting some stuff into the bags. I realized that i hadn't paid for any of the lipsticks ( i had gotten six of the cover girl long-lasting lipsticks) so thought that i hadn't gotten them. However when i got home and started putting the groceries away there they were My daughter and I started looking at the receipt to make sure i had paid for it when my little Three year old grandson said "I helped Grandma, didn't i do good?". Of course i told him what a good helper he was and the next time i went to town i went by explained what had happened and offered to pay for it but after the guy quit laughing he said to just forget it.

Yeah, I guess we all have to overlook things and make a mistake at some point, but that's cute that your grandson just wanted to help out.

Well once we went to eat in a restaurant with another couple friends of ours. As soon as we were given the bill. We noticed that we were overcharged for drinks. We paid the bill without realising that we have not paid for the sweets. As soon as we noticed that we did not even bother to pay the rest of the money. They have been already paid when they overcharged us for the drinks.

When I was really young I went into a store and bought a folder and a photo frame. I forget if I'd bought anything else or not. But I got home and couldn't find the photo frame for the life of me. I searched all through the bag, without taking anything out, and couldn't find it. So I went back to the store and showed them my reciept, but told them I didn't have the photo frame. They actually gave me another one.
When I finally emptied out the bag, I found the frame inside the folder. I felt so guilty about it, like I'd stolen it. I felt awful. But I didn't bring it back.
