The Alaska Personnel Board hired a private invetigator to look into possible ethic violation about Palin's firing of public safety commissioner. The investigating found "no plausable cause that she violated Alaska ethics laws".
Much was made of this by the press. Looks like she is cleared of all charges. What do you think? Is the damage already done? Especially sense the finding are just coming out hours before the election.

This is definitely a very interesting turn of events. I am not sure if the damage is already done or not. I guess we will find out tomorrow! Happy voting everybody! :)

I don't think Troopergate matters much anymore...to those who already aren't comfortable with Palin in the second chair and for those who are undecided...because enough time has gone by for folks to have formed an opinion of her. What has always bothered me more than Troopergate has been her poor judgement in many areas. I don't want this country to have to depend on someone who lacks common sense, regardless of whether she's unethical or not.

If you don't want the country to have to depend on someone who lacks common sense, then you surely can't be voting for Obama. After attending his own church for 20 years, he didn't have enough sense to know what the pastors sermons were about. He also didn't have enough common sense to know how shady and crooked his closest associates were. Give me a break. He is either totally devoid of common sense or a habitual sociopathic liar.

Kind of interesting that the night before the election they decide to clear her of her charges. Clearly politically motivated decision to not clear her a week ago or even a month ago. If my memory serves me correctly on the 10th of October, Sarah had been found guilty of violating ethics laws, now she cleared.

It was her good buddies at the Personnel Board who cleared her. You know, the ones who will have to stay on her good side when she returns to Alaska. The can't screw with the legislature like she did with the librarian but she can do a little housecleaning with the Personnel Board if she chose to. Not that she's vindictive like that....

I really don't think this is going to have any bearing on the election to speak of because Palin's negatives are so high I think this one issue is only the tip of the iceberg for her. I also don't think this ruling proves anything other than when you're able to fire those who are investigating you, you'll probably be cleared of all charges. My gut tells me she's not a very ethical person, not that that's anything new in politics!

Too bad that couldn't have come out before the weekend. It may help some who were undecided and didn't take advantage of the early voting, though. I wonder how much the press is spreading the word that she has been cleared, though after making such an issue out of it.

I saw it on CNN, it was on AOL and cnn.com. Those are my only references for tonight but I'm sure it's making the rounds.
