Obama's Empty Promises

Just why would anyone expect Obama to keep any of his promises when he has already broken one about campaign funds and lied about others. He says he would not raise taxes on people with incomes under $250,000 (or is it $200,000, his ads vary on this) but he and his fellow Democrates have already voted in March to raise taxes on people making less than $40,000. Palosi and the other Democrates in Congress, whose views on his promises are unknown, will determine what happens to his promises; and as usual the result of what Democrates do will be to increase spending and raise taxes on everyone.

Everyone keeps bringing up the fact that he CHANGED HIS MIND about the whole funding thing. No one will say that it was a smart decision. If he hadn't changed his mind, he would be limited to the amount of funds he could get just like McCain. However, he saw a better way to go about it and he took it. To me, a leader should be someone who can see things in the long run, but also switch up things a little bit when they see a better option. I'm tired of pig headed politicians who think that whatever comes out of the heads and mouths is gold and won't change their position on things no matter what. An effective commander and chief should have insight, and--to me--that person is Obama. And don't even start saying that Obama is liar when McCain lied about something that really matters. He promised America that he wouldn't fund anyone robo-calls when he did it to try and dapple Obama's campaign efforts! And you want to talk about raising taxes? When was the last time this country saw continued prosperity? During the Clinton administration. He was a democrat. When did we see and increase in taxes? During the G. W. Bush administration, he's a republican. What party had a majority in the house when all of the pork barrel spending caused millions of taxpayers dollars' to go towards things like researching the life habits of the brown bear? Republicans. Do some actual research and you'll see who the next President should be...

Very true. It's beyond me as well why so many people completely believe everything that comes out of his mouth, even if he contradicts himself. $150,000 was the last cap I heard about now. Everybody who is halfway budgetminded can figure out that he cannot implement the programs he promises without raising money somewhere. He may indeed lower taxes but get our money otherwise. It may be a trickle down effect with the states getting less federal funding and they raise their tax, or it may be a raise in other taxes the feds charge, or it may be something completely new he will label something like 'fair patriotic share payment', lol. Pretty much all politicians are liars and rarely keep their campaign promises. Obama, however, is among the worst of them.

I understand what you are saying. I am worried, too. But, we will see what happens tomorrow. Anything could still happen! This will be one interesting election, to say the least!
