With the development of the Internet and the popularization of computer, shopping on the Internet has become a commonplace in our life. Here consumers can buy almost everything they need.
Shopping on the internet has a lot of advantages,of which the most important is perhaps it convenience.People don;t have to waste a lot of their energy and precious time to go from one shop to another to choose the commodities they like. This is especially desirable to the old,the sick and the busy people who cannot go to the shops in person. The goods come in all shapes, sizes and colors on the internet. All they need to do is to sit in front of their computer and delivered to them promptly.
However, shopping on the internet also has its disadavntages,The first disadvantage is that the consumers can't see the goods or try tem on personally.Sometimes, the real goods may not be the same as what they have seen on the computer. The second disadvantage is that some shops on the internet are not registered. They will never deliver anything to you after they get the money from you.Once cheated, you will find that you have nowhere to go to complain.

I really love to shop online, had it not been the high freight cost, I would have done it so many times already. But because of high shipment cost, I did it once ot twice only. The prices of the products online are much cheaper compared to the department store's.

I have bought several items online from computers to a refrigerator. I only deal with major retailers though. Frequently the local outlet quickly runs out of product when there is a good sale on an item and it is frequently still available online. The only drawback with shopping online is the shipping costs. Usually it is not too bad with major retailers, but smaller sellers like on EBAY charge way too much to the point where the item is too expensive. Plus EBAY is not as reliable because you are relying on the honesty of the seller.

Yes! I buy almost EVERYTHING online! You see, I live out in Wyoming, pretty much the middle of nowhere. (Most cities have more people than the whole state has. If it was distributed evenly, there would be one person for every square mile.) So being able to buy things online is a must. The nearest big city is Denver, 2 and a half hours away. So I buy stuff online all the time.

I shop on the internet all the time, it is soooo much easier than having to go out and find the stuff in a store. The internet is also great for buying things that you might be embarressed to purchase in a store, such as a certain book or a play toy;) or something of that nature. However, be very careful when you are purchasing things on the internest because your information can be stolen very easily.
My credit card number was stolen off of amazon where I purchase a lot of stuff online. A good way to make sure this doesn't happen to you, is to make sure that when you enter your username and password into a site and you are sent back to the main page to enter it again because you supposedly made an error, make sure you check the address bar to make sure you are still on the same site. Some people will create websites that look like another websites in order to trick people in to entering their information in again and then they can steal their financial account numbers. This is called Phishing and it happens all the time.
So while shopping online is convenient and easy just make sure you pay attention to where you are entering your personal and private information.

holiday shopping is exhausting because you cant always find what you are looking for and especially if you have someone that is hard to buy for, the internet offers some great ideas on something that is just a little bit different for the person on your list. sometimes the item is cheaper too than in the stores too.

I shop online through another site and get money back... just last month I spent a little money that I was going to spend anyway and got back around $7 or something like that... so when I can get money back... I say YEAH I SHOP ONLINE! I only shop at places I trust though (like walmart or kmart or target) and have the products shipped to the store or sent right to me :)
Also, I check out anything that I dont trust, if I still dont feel comfortable than I wont set up payment with them... I will look elsewhere instead of giving out CC information.

I have never shopped online. I still prefer the goods that i see with my own eyes because I'd be sure they are what I really want. Shopping online is sometimes a bit frustrating because the product isn't always what is expected. In order to avoid this incident I don't shop online.

I have purhcased many things online. I used to run a bit of a business buying ipod parts and fixing broken ipods. I have bought snowboards, wakeboards, kneeboards, clothes, a boat, every part needed to build a go kart. I bought jackets and tons more stuff. I can find much better deals online than anywhere else.
I have only been cheeted once, and it wasnt really bad, i just bought some speakers for like 40 bucks and i never recieved them i could have possibly got my money back but i didnt really try. I can say that the only bad thing about buying stuff online is having to wait for it to show up.

I find online shopping great for things like books. I mean, how hard can it be to get a book right? I've toyed with the idea of getting clothes online - some of the stuff is so cute - but I'm never entirely certain.

I do shop online as well, if there are products that I really like to buy and can't see it in the mall or anywhere and I think the product is quite cheaper, I'll probably will buy it online. But just like you said there are advantages and disadvantages in doing this. For advantages, it was quite convenient and sometimes you can but it in more cheaper price than when you but it in store. While, the disadvantage for me so I occasionally shop online is the shipping price was quite expensive. That's where I usually spend a lot of money, but it was quite worth it if the product I'm buying is truly rare. Nonetheless, it was really pricey that sometimes even though the price of the product is cheap, I'm having a second thoughts to buy it.

I shop online when i can. I enjoy it. There are many many many good sites Overstock.com is WONDERFUL! Walmart, Target, Meijer etc etc....
I have never had any issues with ordering items online. Sometimes ONLY online you will find cheap prices, sales specials, and beable to look at other peoples opinions on the product your buying-you cannot do that in stores-
