Oh my f***ing God, today this brings my blood pressure to a boil...

Fury Level: ...and it just f***ing sickens me too much to keep inside, so i've got to rant about this before I forget. Earlier on 11-3-2008, while I was in my room, my black cat came up to me, and when I looked at him, something wasn't right. He was "in tears" and drooling at the mouth. He wasn't feeling too well. I went to mom to tell her of what's wrong, and all she did was just agree about it. I suggested on taking him to the veterinarian, yet, mom said she couldn't pay for it, and that she said I had the money to do that. I was a bit disgusted at first, but not as much as stepping on cat puke in the dining room! Good thing I had my house shoes on. Otherwise I would've slipped. I got the mess up, and threw it in the trash before putting my cup in the sink. I went back to mom and asked if she would've taken the veterinarian even if I didn't have the money, and she said she STILL couldn't afford it. I was even more disgusted than earlier. I asked her one last thing: She can afford to pay for two kittens, but she can't afford to take them to the vet?! WHAT THE F**K??!! Seriously, WHAT THE F**K??!! Normally I try to repress, or even suppress the anger by listening to music that triggers a new type of anger and acts like a "backfire" to snuff out my real-life anger, but even so, it wasn't enough, and it might not do in this case. I feel like I got to rant before my already-high blood pressure does any added damage. Either way, WHERE'S THE F***ING LOGIC IN THAT??? THAT'S JUST F***ING RIDICULOUS!!! I know that mom pays the bills in the house, and yet she can't afford to pay a bill for a pet's well being and health?! That's just messed up. No, More than that. That logic's just f**ked up for me to even understand. A pet is a family member when you bring it home, not an object that you can just throw away when it's breaking down! She can pay for food, but she can't pay for a pet's chance of survival?! Speaking of such, i'm still p*ssed off about another time that we had a kitten that was sick. It was a few years ago, and just as I was setting off for college on a hot day, that sick little kitten was dead, and on the rocky pavement of our driveway. Felt bad for it though, so I decided to move its lifeless body to some shade before I left. When I got back home, I told her of what happened, and if I can remember it correctly, she told me to throw it in the garbage! "Throw it...a lifeless body of a sick little kitten that she can't afford to take to the vet...in the garbage?!" Believe me, I am human, and even I have anger and frustration in me, and I don't care if she was my mother, I was just so close...just so close to slapping her until her skin peeled...but if I did, she would've called the police on me, i'd end up in jail for domestic assault, and everyone in the family would've been more angry with me than I was with her. She would've won, and she would never learn her lesson or change her ways. It'd be a lose-win situation; i'd lose and she would win. Thank God I found MyLot so I could have a third outlet to vent my anger in. Sometimes I can be a little too nice for my own good.

People should not have animals if they cannot take them to a vet when they need to. And, I agree with alot of things you have said. It is just criminal to not take an animal to a vet who is obviously in trouble.

Yea, that is really messed up that she couldn't and wouldn't help you. I've been in that situation myself. Luckly I was able to find a place that did a payment plan. Most places around me don't. Hopefully you will be able to find a place to help your kitty.
