What are you doing online?

Some people come to make money, meet people, get entertained or just surf. I am trying to find out what people's reasons are for coming online? What do you do, what draws you, what inspires you, where do you hang out, etc.
Everyday millions upon millions of people come online and I would love to know what your reasons are. I am so interested in this I actually started a site about it.
So it a few words tell me why you are online? What do you do, where do you go?

My online activities are searching and doing research, submitting articles, blogging, posting in discussions and networking. Everything I do online helps me to earn money, or I am paid for doing it.
My motivation is not just the money I make, because I really enjoy all that I do online.

Well of course I enjoy my participation at myLot, but my main activity is writing articles and submitting them at Helium, where I can sell to publishers or earn daily revenue share and upfront payments.

I spend a lot of time online and use it for so many things.
I am a UK expat living overseas so use the net to watch TV and listen to the radio from home, read local news, keep in touch with my friends and family.
Increasingly it is also a tool for earning money, not quite enough though as yet!

So it's a bit of a life line for you? I am guessing that skype has become your friend as well. What places have you tried to earn money? How did you find mylot?

I spend most of my time online reading and writing. Yeah, that's not very original. But I keep in touch with my friends via IMs and blogs and I write a lot. I post entries to my blogs, I write reviews and articles for money, I participate in discussions on mylot.
That's for my constructive time spending 
. But I also watch youtube clips, watch tv episodes (I switched from tv to computer :)), watch movies, play games... I relax online.

Okay, I feel like it needs to be said. YouTube steels time like nothing else... Thankfully lately I've been able to stick to watching the videos I sbscribe to.. Nothing else... That helped
As to the reviews, yes, it's coming surprisingly well. Hell I'm surprised by how well it goes. I write for ciao (it pays better, though I write for reviewsream from time to time as well). if you want to try it, I can give you a referral link (if you dont want to use it, I can link you to the sde without the referral thing :P 's cool)

Hi calajane,
That's the sort of stuff that I am wondering about. I mean we are all online everyday and it's just interesting to see all the various things we all do online everyday.
I spend a lot of time on youtube as well. How are the reviess coming? Do you really get paid well for it?

when i m online i have many activities to do on internet..such like..orkuting, chatting in yahoo, surfing in facebook, play online games, check ma mails in different accounts, uploading photos on ma orkut profile, downloading new songs, some times i have to do ma office work also...
these are the ma main work on internet daily...
but i want to earn money on internet but i dont how i make it possible...

Hi Khushal_dabhi,
So your primary activity is social networking and making money. A lot of us are here online for the exact same reasons, and trying to do the exact same things. Do you find that some places are better than others for social networking and making money?
