Imagine to live in a different era...

I always question things about the life before and after the period of my life. If I would be given a chance to choose to be born at a different era, what would it be? I am always curious about the beginning and the end of this world, so I'm confused to go to the beginning of time or the end of the years? If you given this chance to pick, what would you choose? Time during war? Dinosaurs?
Do you think a time machine would ever get invented by man? Just curious. I wish to watch life on a different perspective,too.

I would have to say that I would want to be born during the colonial days of early America. I would love to be able to have lived during the times of the southern plantations of Georgia and South Carolina. I would love to experience the lifestyles of the plantation owners of the day. Not the slavery part, but the parties and the ladies and stuff like that. I would like to have the chance to ride horses along the beaches and the battlefields right before the troops of the Civil War went into battle and have the opportunity to write about the action. I would like to have courted a southern lady the old-fashioned way and bought an old farm house near the river. It would be an awesome thing to experience. I love the history and the rich heritage of that time.
